Vacations Close To Paradise Island

Is there anything below a zero? First, the “resort” is hard to get to because GPS address is wrong. We waited 40 minutes to be let into our room though we got there way before check in. The bars ran out of cups midday, they were giving drinks in paper cups which disintegrated in minutes. The room was not cleaned. Don’t get me started on the food, it was mediocre. The only silver lining is the most workers were very helpful and cheerful.

I was with my kids and the food was horrible! Thank goodness there was a restaurant nearby I had to pay every night to go and eat because the food was not good at all. There was a roach in my room and when I called Customer Service, it took them 30 minutes to tend to my trim and remove the roach. When I called the customer service rep that answered, she stated that this is normal and I was shocked. The power went out twice while I was there in the same night. I was not happy about this trip.

We had such an amazing stay at Sosúa by the Sea! If you’re looking for a peaceful, family-friendly hotel where you can truly relax, this is the place. The ocean views are absolutely breathtaking, and the atmosphere is so calm. I personally loved that there wasn’t a loud club on the property—it made it easy to unwind and enjoy quality time with my family. I want to give a huge thank you to Randy at the bar. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always made sure we had everything we needed. His customer service really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. Another special thank you to Juan, who went above and beyond by decorating both of our rooms with balloons—one for my son’s birthday and one for my fiancé’s birthday. It was such a thoughtful surprise that made both celebrations feel extra special. The restaurant staff also deserves recognition. They surprised us with a personalized birthday cake, and both the staff and fellow guests sang Happy Birthday. It was such a heartfelt moment that we’ll never forget. The kindness and effort everyone put into making our family feel celebrated meant so much to us. From the beautiful scenery to the outstanding hospitality, our experience exceeded our expectations. We made wonderful memories here and will definitely be back. Thank you to everyone at Sosúa by the Sea for making our trip so special! ❤️
