Pictures were deceitful for us as when we got there it was very run down. The mattress was the worst one I slept on in 3 weeks of travelling. The room was old and the appliances too. Location was close to all main restaurants but the road to get there was terrible and we couldn’t wheel our suitcases on it. Huge spiders and webs on the roof leading up to our rooms also. The receptionists were friendly and helpful but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.

Liked: Amenities
Clean, comfortable room. Nice amenities and breakfast on site.
Centrally located and a quick walk to everything on Alona Beach, but on a back road, so it was quiet.
We enjoyed the pool right outside of are room place was quiet clean and nice we found out we can cut through BW to get to the beach that was helpful

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Our stay in Golden Palm Resort was excellent. Easy to find, clean and near everything we could ask for. The staff were friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this place
The Golden Palm was a quiet oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle around Alona Beach. It’s too bad there is no direct access to the beach and we have to walk around for about 10-15 minutes in the heat, but otherwise the pools were great and the garden is well maintained.

Very nice. Will return
Nice gardens and pools. Good service. They also have a great breakfast buffet. Staff are also very friendly and helpful
A beautiful smaller resort with nice rooms that have great Air conditioning. Two pools and a bar/restaurant. Very short walk to the beach. Great Staff and helpful security. Safe and Clean. Great location
Property was lovely, the staff was great and we had a wonderful time there!
It is tucked away from the main road so it is very peaceful! Your deluxe room was just outside the smaller pool. Just like 3 steps and you are in the water. Very kid friendly!
Met the owners very nice and welcoming.
Highly appreciated and recommend this resort for your stay in Panglao!!!!
Golden Palm was a nice, well kept resort. Nice gardens and the pools were wonderful. The rooms are standard but the air conditioning works well and we had a nice balcony. The breakfast was just ok, but the staff of the hotel were very nice and helpful. The resort is on a quiet street around the corner from several restaurants, cafes, bars and Alona Beach. Great location to have a quiet sleep, but nearby the action. Would recommend staying here.
The outside is well maintained. Their garden is so beautiful. The staff are very nice. We got the superior room which is very nice and clean. They clean the room everyday. Location is near Alona beach and plenty of restaurants.
This hotel is a beautiful oasis of tranquility in an otherwise rather messy little resort town. The beach is great, there are great places to eat and drink but I love getting away from people and noise when I think of island life. The accommodation was utterly beautiful with delightful gardens, a lovely bar and loads of clean, beautiful, space to relax. Highly recommend this as a place to stay. Breakfast is pretty limited, would have liked some cheese, fresh bread and more fruit, but it was perfectly adequate.
I globaly recommand this sweet resort with a beautiful garden and great swimming pool of 10 ft depth. It's a kind of oasis among the crowed and typically filipino style of Alona beach. Staff and owner are nice. Food is not ecxeptional, but correct. A van was waiting for us at the pier of Tagbilaran going to the resort. Nice stay except the weather, raining everyday for 5 days in March...
Fantastic place in the heart of Alona beach area. It isn’t located on the beachfront, but that doesn’t matter.
It’s central, very nice common area and we had the deluxe room, which ment a separate almost private pool in front on the room.
Great value for money, nice bar area, great wifi connection. We only stayed one night but wanted more but it was fully booked.
During our trip to Bohol we stayed in 6 hotels and this was our favourite one.
Highly recommended!

My concern is the lack of handrail in the stairs leading to the upper floors, very difficult to go up & down for PWD/seniors. What i like is it feels like one is in a resort away from city life. Staff is very friendly and welcoming.
Thank you very much!
Very helpful staff, nothing was to much trouble for them. The owner of the property was there almost ever day and was very helpful with information on where to find all the right places for trips and Restaurants etc.
Good location down a short road off the major areas.
An ‘oasis of calm ‘ away from the normal livelinesses of a resort.
A big shout out to Barry ‘the gardener’ for his vision in providing a great place to stay.
A comment to be made, a brighter light in the shower/ wc area would be appreciated.
Yes I would recommend this hotel.
It is close to the main street, and the moving route is convenient.
The road to the resort was unpaved, so it was inconvenient to carry a carrier.
The breakfast was not good and the pool was dirty.
The staff were friendly and the air conditioner was cool
Just got back from Bohol and stayed at the Golden Palm.
First off the good:
-The place is beautiful.
-Rooms are nice and the bed is better than expected.
-AC works fine so the room is cool.
-Pools are nice but the main pool is where you will go since the small one in front of the rooms is more for looks.
-The staff is friendly and the owner lives onsite and you see him eating dinner with the family every night.
- We didn't eat there for dinner after the terrible breakfast experience so I can't speak to the food.
Now for the Needs Improvement stuff:
-Breakfast is included but not worth the time. Food is cold and limited - nothing like cold eggs and pancakes. They have heated pans but dont put flame pots under them so nothing stays warm. Ended up going offsite for food after the first day.
-The road to get to the hotel is not near to town and is a rocky road and to get to the beach its a trek or you have to go through the Best Western where they may or may not let you do.
-When checking in after travel they make you stand there and get lectured on the rules of the place (don't waste my time and treat me like an adult!) I had to pee! Pissed me off honestly
-They don't have water bottles in the room and instead have a pitcher. Which would be fine if they refilled it, they don't. You have to do it yourself? Isn't housekeeping already in your room?
Price/Value ok. For the Philippines standard, staff friendliness could definitely be better. The Hotel is fairly centrally located near Alona Beach. It was surprisingly quiet. The garden area is very well-maintained with lots of greenery and plants. On the Hotel property, there seem to be also two dogs - so in the mornings dog poop can always be seen... Slightly disturbing for a hotel with such a nice garden area.
