Owners were very nice. There is a wonderful bike trail one block away that connects to the Wamatu Gorge area. In the warmer months there are eels in the river and streams. Electric charging is about 5 blocks away and is fast.

The staff were exceptionally good. We really felt at home, and knew that whatever we needed would be sorted. We loved the spa bath, and the ability to have breakfast and dinner in our rooms. Some of the window clasps need fixing, and some ventilation in the bathrooms would be helpful. Otherwise it was warm and cosy!!

Comfortable room

Comfortable large room with electric frypan so more ways to cook than just the microwave. Motel is on a busy road and windows are not double glazed so lots of traffic noise through out the night. Trucks etc.

Was convenient for getting in an out of town. Was quiet and tidy. Very helpful lady on reception gave a good recommendation for cafe within 5 minutes walk from the motel. However wasn't impressed with the black mould around the silicone sealants and grout in the shower over the bath. Also no safety hand grip rails for older people to climb into the bath in order to shower.

Very good value. The single bed is in the lounge, which gave privacy from the queen bed in the separate bedroom. Shower over the bath which can be challenging for older people. Grout by the bath could do with some bleach. Only two chairs for three people. We used the couch for extra seating. A cutting board in the kitchen would be useful. As said, good value for the price paid.

booked this motel for the spa bath upon arrival the lady at reception was lovely and friendly. got to our room and went to have a spa bath there was terrible mould around it the jets in the bath didnt work, tap had a big leak, light above bed was broken. on check out i raised these concerns with the guy on reception he didnt seem to care "its hard times" well its hard times for paying customers as well..
