Unfortunately, this hotel was missing many of the fine details you would expect from a five star property. On our first night, we were woken at 11:30pm by room service delivering an order we had not placed, as they had mixed up the room numbers. When we raised this with the front desk the following morning, very little action was taken beyond a brief apology. The rooms also lacked the level of comfort and quiet you would expect at this price point. The doors felt thin and offered very little soundproofing, meaning we could hear almost every bit of noise from the hallway while trying to sleep. The bedding was also very average, with flat pillows and a mattress that did not feel particularly luxurious. It was very clean and had really nice decor. The pool was great. Overall, the experience fell short of the standard I would expect from a five star hotel. It lacked the attention to detail, comfort and service recovery that should come with the rating and price. Unfortunately, I would not return, which is a shame as I had high hopes.

My husband and I agree on that this was the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. Service was incredible, always exceeding our expectations and offering that little extra that makes your trip feel special. We stayed for 4 nights and never wanted to leave. The property is beautiful, and all staff are incredible and above and beyond. It’s a modern and trendy hotel with all the amenities you need - robes and slippers, pool + beach towels, spa services, toiletries, wonderful breakfast, and very attentive service. We had an attic room which was spacious and comfortable. The area is safe and walkable, one of the best hotel stays I have ever had. Highly recommend to anyone considering a stay here!

Lived up to the expectations

Stellar hotel overall. Depends of the room of course, but I got one of the slightly bigger ones and had a great stay. Close to the pool and the atmosphere was really nice. Staff was attentive and friendly. Only thing that could be improved, don’t let people occupy the sun beds before breakfast.

This hotel was a dream to stay at. The hotel itself was beautiful and in the most perfect location. It was close to all the best restaurants and shops. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Such an amazing stay at this hotel! And the bed was sooo comfy… Every member of staff was helpful and very lovely with big smiles always. The pool area was stunning and all the food and drinks we had were very tasty. Very artsy decor and super clean. We would be blessed to return!

Outstanding service with amazing dining. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay at Concepcio. The room was amazing and all the hotel staff could not have been better. Everything from breakfast in the morning to dinner and drinks in the evening were exceptional. The hotel is beautifully designed - chic but blending in beautifully with its ancient architecture. It's also in a wonderful location - easily walkable to all the sites. We wholeheartedly recommend the hotel and will be looking to stay again in the near future.

The staff are generally warm and welcoming, and the overall design and ambience are undeniably classy, with some thoughtful details that suggest a high-end experience. However, the reality didn’t quite live up to that promise. One of the most disappointing aspects was the room service. The menu is essentially a direct copy of the restaurant and heavily meat-based. For a hotel of this standard, you would expect a broader, more considered offering — especially when dining in your room. The lack of non-meat options felt restrictive and out of step with what should be a more inclusive, general offering. There was also very little accessible information about the hotel. Staff repeatedly said everything was available via the TV, but despite being fairly tech-savvy, I couldn’t find any useful menus or guidance there. It simply wasn’t functioning as described. While housekeeping did a good job overall, the timing and awareness were lacking. At one point, I tried to enjoy a quiet coffee on the balcony, only to have the experience completely disrupted by a vacuum cleaner being used right next to me. Most frustrating, though, was the response to feedback. When I raised these issues, they were acknowledged with polite smiles but ultimately ignored. At both reception and checkout, there was little sense of genuine interest in resolving concerns. Sauna cold -should be excluded from facilities list In the end, it felt like a three-star experience presented as something more premium.

Attractive property that has been very well renovated. Retains a lot of character whilst offering contemporary quality design, fixtures and fittings. Really nice blend, well executed.
