Place is at strategic area, walking to the tour agency that we are going to. Room, toilet and hotel lobby were clean. The lady at the reception was very helpful and she speak very good English. Our stays were pleasant.

Hotel giving on the noisy main road.

My friend and I would have reviewed Alisa Hotel with better marks if it was not for the terrible noise and fumes getting in the front rooms. Note that any twin beds room faces the main road! Fortunately the people working there were very efficient and really nice.

Buena situación para pasar un par de noches

Calidad precio está bien. Hay agua caliente, habitación grande, tv de tubo con alguna peli en inglés, A/C. Agua gratis cada dia. Lo mejor es la situación, hay un montón de restaurantes y agencias alrededor. Y en recepción hablan un muy buen inglés. Contras: muchos mosquitos. No hay aire en los rellanos y al abrir la puerta entran todos. A/C un poco ruidoso. Wifi casi inexistente en la habitación (buena en recepción).

In Laos I had often difficulty communicating in English even with people affiliated with tourism, but the front desk of Alisa Guesthouse is served by a very pleasant, kind, charming lady, graduate of UC San Diego who spoke perfect English and who gave us extremely helpful advice and info. The Guesthouse is located right in the middle of downtown Pakse. The room was clean and comfortable for the price. The only drawback was that WiFi was available only in the public space on the ground floor.

Indochina 2016

Stayed for several nights. Bed comfortable. Only 2 of 6 lights worked but staff were not interested in fixing them. Visited by a large cockroach. Disappointed that there was no tea or coffee facilities in room or lobby and the wifi only worked in the lobby. Staff not helpful about town, limited English didn't help, we got maps watch from others. We were on the 4 th floor which is a bit of an effort. There was road noise but it seemed louder on lower floors. The whole town is noisy. Make sure you visit the ruins at vat Phu, an hours easy ride. Hire the scooter somewhere else as there's was poor. In summary ok for a night but they are not interested in your comfort, suggest looking else wherefor better value

Cheap, clean place to stay for a night in Pakse. There's no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby. It was pretty loud with sounds of motorbikes since our room was facing the street.

Goed guesthouse in Pakse

Goed verblijf in een prima guesthouse. De kamer is ruim en goed. WiFi werkt niet goed in de kamer en Alisa zou hier een paar euro aan moeten besteden om het op te lossen. Kamer in goede staat maar eerste tekenen van 'verval' zijn zichtbaar en moeten worden aangepast om een hoog niveau te behouden. Aanrader in Pakse en absoluut een goede optie om te overwegen. Prijs aan balie voor een tweepersoonskamer is 130.000 Kip. Pakse is een prima stad om de omgeving te verkennen en bijvoorbeeld verder te reizen richting het noorden of naar het Bolaven Plateau, de 4000 Eilanden (en bezoek dan ook Don Som), Wat Phu Champsak of andere plaatsen in 'de buurt'.

Good location in Pakse

The Alisa guesthouse is in a perfect location to explore Pakse. The staff on the front desk were helpful and allowed us to store our bags whilst we were on a two day tour. The room was basic and clean. The shower was ok but the shower head needed replacing. The Alisa guesthouse was a great place to stay for a short visit.

Exceptional Value for Money - Clean & Comfortable

The Alisa Guest House is incredible value for money. It was clean, had a comfortable bed, free wifi, good water pressure in the shower and is well-located on the main road. I would definitely recommend it.
