“I had an excellent stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Port Elgin by IHG. The hotel was exceptionally clean, modern, and very well maintained. My room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The complimentary breakfast offered a great variety of fresh, tasty options, and it was a great way to start the day. The location is convenient, with restaurants, shopping, and local attractions nearby....

“Clean property, the owner maintained the cleanliness of the room and the property. It’s an old motel however it does not smell. Will recommended.”

“It was fine for a short stay, but that’s about it. Gave us a single towel for two people for two nights. They gave me two different entry codes (only one worked - caused confusion when checking in). The room was entirely on a slant. The AC worked really well. Comfortable enough.”

“Hotel was old house that had been converted to an Inn. Amenities only included two bath towels and one hand towel. No extra toilet paper. No wash clothes. Rooms had not been updated/painted in maybe 30-35 years. Steps were very steep and shallow. The only thing that kept the rating from being lower was the staff. They were pleasant when asked for something.”

“The property was very clean, the bed sheets and towels even smelled clean!! The inn room chairs were really comfortable and the room was spacious. Ample parking! We would stay there again!”

“Slippery or worn areas on the bathtub/shower floor. Unit doors to room close far too loudly, especially from early morning when included breakfast begins and continue slamming for hours. Tv needed to be unplugged and plugged back in every time it was turned on to reset the tv so that programmes could be viewed. Toilet height far too low for a tall person, felt like sitting on the ground. Lots of wasted space beside the toilet in our room so why not install a bidet? No fast-charging station on...

“The room was nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. The room could have been a bit bigger. Very quiet at night. Not quite walking distance to tge beach but a very short drive. Close to grocery stores. For elder people it is better to stay on the ground floor as lugging your suitcase etc. Up is a bit of work.”

“Everything was fantastic. Rooms were newer and spotless. Staff was friendly, and helpful.”

“Too expensive for what was there.......Could have been vacuumed better....... coffee Kurigg did not work...... took forever to figure out how to run the TV with 2 remotes and no instruction sheet..And of course painting over blemishes and wallpaper peeling off the walls...... Was told there were only 3 rooms left - took a video of parking area- no one else was at the motel. Lady was most pleasant otherwise we would have walked away.”

“A disappointing experience! A very low level motel, yet room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The first night was fine. The second night was uncomfortable as it sounded like people were moving furniture upon arriving at 10 pm. Then at 4:30 am more noise, and they left. At 6:00 am they were back and more noise. It is obvious that the motel is a also a “type of rooming house” Buyer beware! ”
