I stayed in room #309. Very large with a wrap around balcony, with a glimpse of the bay. It was very nice and clean. The only negative is the bed coverings need a wash. (Not sheets) The room smelled very musty. Other than that I would highly recommend the hotel. Friendly staff too!

We chose the room because it was spacious but the double bed was uncomfortably firm and the paint work was in poor condition.The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. I'm only griping because it was very expensive! The stay overall was ok and Paihia and Cape Reinga were fab. The people running it were very friendly.

This is an older hotel but if you’re planning to stay out most of the day it is perfect! It was clean and the staff was SUPER friendly—honestly my favorite part of our stay there. Everything is within walking distance of the hotel but I felt it was far enough away to get some peace and quiet.
