Outstanding accommodation

Sarah & Marc met us as we arrived with a drink & a chat to welcome us. The room with en-suite was beautifully decorated, clean & quiet. The breakfast menu was very varied with fruit, cereals, juice etc to start, and a varied menu with plenty of choice for the main course, beautifully cooked. Would highly recommend. Thank you both for a lovely stay

Excellent Guest House

Graham and Leslie are great hosts. The breakfast choice is varied and delicious. Ambassador Guest House is in an excellent location within walking distance of the beach, the town and bus and train stations.

Very friendly staff and parking out front of the property. Room was comfortable with tea/coffee machine, good TV. Bathroom was spacious and smart. Excellent breakfast. 5 mins walk from Paignton centre and coast.

Ideal guest house

We received a nice personal welcome by Graham. Coffee served on arrival whilst he took our cases to our room. We filled in a form for our breakfast needs for the following morning and the time we would like to eat . Our room had a TV Bosch coffee machine and kettle. The refreshments were replenished daily didn't need to ask for extra of anything. Bathroom had female personal items just in case it was needed. I loved the big soft bath towels too. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and ample. Car parking facilities was ideal. Paignton beach was just a 5minutes walk away. All in all and ideal place to stay.

A lovely stay

As always a warm welcome, friendly staff and a clean and tidy room, lovely breakfast and a bar for relaxing in the evening. Located in a good position with easy access to the beach, cinema and town centre with both bus and train stations making getting about the area simple.

We had a lovely time here. The proprietors were very welcoming.It’s obviously a place people return to.Lovely room and good food.Nothing too much bother.Even the weather was brilliant!Should we return to the area we’d definitely use this hotel again.

September short break

Even before we arrived we were advised that our room was ready so could check in early. On arrival we were greeted and offered a hot drink. The service and friendliness of the hosts was exceptional. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and will definitely use it for future trips to Paignton.

We got a lovely warm welcome with coffee and a friendly chat on arrival. Our luggage was taken up to our room for us. The room was spotless and very comfy. The choice of breakfast was superb and the host was a great cook. The location is great with it being just over five to walk to the town and the train station. We will definitely use this guest house again if back in the area.

A gem of a place

What a gem of a hotel, only 6 bedrooms. Arrived and got offered a drink, thats a first for me. I had a single room which was a perfect size. There is a mention of toiletries but so much more than usual. Breakfast was ordered the day before and for covid reasons there were time slots that you could choose from. Breakfast was excellent

Fantastic

We stayed 4 nights in the Family Room. From the moment we arrived, our hosts were very welcoming and during our stay couldn't do enough for us. Our room was very comfortable with plenty of space. We had a good size TV, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, etc. Great choice of breakfast, which was fantastic every day. We will certainly be staying again.

stop over bike tour

Highly recommend the Ambassador Hotel based on the excellent service from Lesley and Graham. They will look after you beautifully but also not be ontop of you. The room was an excellent size and very clean. There was a fridge with cold drinks when we arrived on a hot day. The bed was declared very comfortable by my husband and i loved the walk in shower, i would like one in my own home. Breakfast was excellent. The owners were very considerate of covid regulations and i felt safe in their space. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and the town centre, very convenient. We found out useful that the small car park also had hooks to secure the bikes to. Thank you for our stay

Unbelievable value

Everything about our stay was right. Although difficult times our hosts did everything to ensure we were safe, they were safe & other guests were safe. We felt from the second we arrived we were going to be looked after and our host really cared about their guests. We had visited the Ambassador previously and although different hosts the standard of the accommodation was just as high if not better. Although we only stayed one night we saw enough to give our hosts a 10 out of 10.
