Amazing views of the lake!!! Beautiful lobby, viewing and sitting area in main lodge. Friendly respectful and helpful staff. Caitlin was especially sweet. Room was clean and comfy. Surprised and a bit disappointed there was no in-room microwave and realized too late in the evening we forgot to ask where the ice machine was while we were checking in. I couldn’t find a floor map in the room to indicate its location. Lovely walking trails on property. Will return.

The cottage was clean and comfortable. The area was very quiet and we saw deer, a groundhog and a possum while just sitting on the deck. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook meals. The hot water and water pressure were great. We were disappointed that the pool was closed for repairs but we did use the beach which was nice. We also rented a pontoon boat from the marina and the experience was outstanding. The staff at the marina and at check in at the lodge were all very friendly and efficient.

The room was a bit dated and the furniture could use some cleaning and repairs. There’s no microwave or refrigerator. The bathroom and room were clean and the staff were friendly. The thermostat doesn’t go lower than 68 and you can’t increase the fan speed so it struggled to keep up with the high humidity. The pool was closed and there was no notice of that until I got there. Had I known that I would have stopped at the beach but I was just too tired to go back out after being outside in the humidity all day.

We were traveling all day and looking forward to checking in and having some much needed pool and relaxation time. Upon arrival, there is a note on the door Pool closed. We go to our room and there are holes in the ceiling, especially disturbing was a hole above the shower. We try to make the best of it. Other guests arrived just after 9 pm next door to us. The rooms are promoted as soundproof, they are not. We could hear every word, every time they closed the toilet lid, everything. Tried calling the front desk twice with no answer. It's now 11 pm and we can't get to sleep with all the noise so went to the front desk to ask for a different room, which we did receive. This room remarkably did not have holes in the ceilings. We were booked for a 2 night stay and I asked for a refund for the 2nd night and did receive that which was appreciated. The reception area is very nice, the pool and view of the water is what they promoted and it is a great view. However, when you can't use the pool and we were not notified prior to arrival that this was the case, you then focus on the rooms. Not good, because our first room was poorly maintained, sheets have a thread count of about 7, so scratchy, patio needs a good power washing and don't leave cigarettes on it. With proper maintenance like a working pool and bring the rooms up to the standard of the reception this place has potential. Unfortunately, for us it was the worst part of our vacation and upset the plans we had made.

The 2 bedroom cabin we rented was excellent. The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is perfect for visiting all the nearby attractions. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Writing this review is hard. The reality is the “hotel” room was just not up to par. When I initially checked in, someone had left the door to the balcony attached to the room wide open. Both the screen door and the exterior door. Meaning the hot humid Kentucky weather was defeating the old air conditioning. Onto the patio- it was absolutely covered in spider webs to the point it was not usable. Also- the room was filled with. It’s and spiders. Probably because someone was leaving the door open. There was also suspected mold and mildew- on the Art in the room, all over the shower and the bathroom ceiling, the grout in the shower and there was mold and or mildew also will small hairs on the waterproof shower curtain. The pillows were also uncomfortable. I was visiting family from out of state. When I showed them the photos I took- they were not happy that I stayed there and said I could have just slept at their house. Looking back- that’s exactly what I should have done. Overall- I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

The first room given smelled so musty and moldy we couldn't breathe and our eyes, noses and throats were burning in 10 min. Second room smelled better but we still went to a local store and bought air freshener and lysol. Everything very outdated. Carpet floors were filthy. Bugs and dirt all over bathroom. Hair on sink. Door didn't seal as we could see light coming in. Restaurant food was cold and overcooked or undercooked. Poo l was closed. Worst place we've ever stayed.

Our room was less than clean. Hair on the inside of the ice bucket. Only 1/2 roll of toilet paper fir 2 people staying 2 nights and NO OTHER ROLLS AVAILABLE. Coffee in room available for 1 day only. Mold on ceiling. Pool was broken down an unavailable. If I had known no pool available I would have stayed elsewhere. Restaurant had poor A/C and only 1 server.

The room itself was nice but there were a couple of concerning issues. The air return for the room was surrounded with something black. The shower curtain had weird spots that looked like mold or mildew. The bed was awful. Hard and lumpy. Gave me back and hip aches. The balcony was beautiful overlooking the lake. The grounds are neatly kept. The dinner buffet was $25 and not stellar. Vegetables were swimming in oils. We did not go back for breakfast. No fridge in rooms. Front desk staff sweet and helpful.

Cottage was clean and nice size. Appreciated the pans and utensils to use. Property was a little dated, but definitely still worth the money. Needed some extra bedding for the pull out couch that was unavailable. We were disappointed that the pool was closed due to maintenance issue.
