It’s a 400 yr old building so can’t live up to modern day conveniences/expectations. However, great character overall and well located. Would benefit from some detailed cleaning and overall updating without losing its historical charm.

A great place to stay in Central Oxford for a weekend, plus we needed to drop off luggage early and the contact was very helpful. Note that the hotel is unstaffed for large parts of the time, also being central it was quite noisy at night, but very cosy and clean.

Historic stay in Oxford

Excellent location in the heart of Oxford with friendly and accommodating reception staff. The historic building was really cool and I slept well in the comfortable bed.

We stayed in the Jade Room, and it was so spacious! My daughter and I had more than enough room to feel comfortable and have our own space. The room included a closet, a makeup table, and tea and coffee, which I especially appreciated in the morning. The location is fantastic—within easy walking distance to many of the main areas we all come to visit in Oxford, with plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby, and a Tesco not too far away. We were about a 15 minute walk to the train station, though it honestly felt even shorter. We arrived a few hours earlier than expected, and with just a quick call, the owner allowed us early access to the room so we could store our luggage and start exploring the area right away.

We had a 1 night stop-over at Tower House. The hotel was cosy and comfortable, and the room had all the facilities we needed. It's right in the centre of Oxford so easy access to pretty much everything. The nearest car park is a short walk away. No breakfast on offer but there are plenty of cafes nearby.

Really central. Great choice if you’re happy to have a small but decently set up room in the centre of Oxford. Bed was comfortable and the place was clean and well kept especially considering what an old building it is.

This was a great spot--quiet side street within an easy walk of everything in the city center. Clean, well maintained, comfortable in every way. I'd definitely recommend it and will stay again when I am next in Oxford.

A small hotel with a B&B feel.

A small hotel with a B&B feel. This is an old building, fitting with the town of Oxford with modern features like a flatscreen tv and wifi. The location is a side street but still in the heart of town. An easy walk to all that Oxford has to offer including the new shopping center.

We loved the location of The Tower House, its location was centrally located to be able to walk to restaurants and the local sites easily. Although staff were not on site 24 hours a day, it was easy to contact them via phone with an immediate response.

The property is a fairly small, old-fashioned, terraced house located in the centre of Oxford. Not spacious, and you'll share a bathroom but reasonably priced and great position within a short walk of the colleges.
