The room was above expectations warm and spacious The reception staff were welcoming friendly and knowledgeable. For a hotel the bar was very reasonable and in the morning the breakfast which was included in the price was scrumptious and plentiful. Great decor and perfectly placed for a good walk by the river . The hotel is looking a little tired in places now and our room was noisy with the aircon units outside the window R 215. Lack of constant staff presence at the bar to order drinks and food sometimes meant a wait. Or asking at reception.

Great hotel, be specific with your needs and pref

A frequent user of this hotel as it is good location for my work trips. Always love the beds and the breakfast is varied and good quality. Downsides, very few rooms have a bath and as a solo traveller I’m often put on the main corridor so am frequently woken by other guests running up and down corridor/shouting at night and the cleaner at 5:30/6am bashing the wall with their broom or mop. If staying be really clear with your preferences or needs.

Fantastic stay from start to finish, free parking on site which was great for us. Staff were friendly and helpful, only stayed for 2 nights but were given fresh towels on our second day which was amazing. Lovely walk along the river into the centre (note it does take 35-40 minutes).

we stayed here for a couple of nights whilst seeing a show in Oxford. The hotel is in a quiet location approx 1.8 miles from Oxford City centre. There is a very pleasant walk along the Thames into the city (takes approx 30 mins)or the hotel is well served with several buses. The staff were very friendly, the room was nice and breakfasts were also very good. If returning to Oxford, i would more than happily use the hotel again
