As long as you manage your expectations, Wiarton Willie’s is a perfectly fine place to stay for a night or two if you’re travelling through the area. The staff were friendly and our room was clean enough and comfortable for a short stay. It is definitely run down, dated, and the sheets, towels and overall finishes aren’t the highest quality, but for what we needed, it did the job. A big plus for us was that they allow dogs. We had spent the day hiking at Lion’s Head with our dog and just needed an affordable, pet-friendly place to stay for the night before getting back on the road the next day. Overall, it was convenient, reasonably priced and great for accommodating pets. We’d consider staying again for a quick overnight while travelling through the area.

The property was easy to get to. Nice that you could drive up to your room. Made it easy for unpacking. However, there is no place to hang anything, so you are at a disadvantage if you have a wet coat or need to hang formal wear. No ironing board or iron. And no bedding for the pull out couches, that will cover all free floor space. There is more water pressure in the bidet than the shower. Towels are tiny and covered in stains. No phone to call the front desk. Not worth the price of the stay. But there are BBQs and fire pits.

The beds, the room and the bathroom was really clean and I love the way that it looks comfy and homey. If I had the opportunity to stay another day I would. I really loved it and me and my friends absolutely enjoyed it!

Fine for a rest

The staff is great and there have been several upgrades. It is your typical motel a place to sleep and go. It was close enough to go back to Tobermory but as usual the summer pricing is quite high
