Pousada do arcanjo is a gem! This beautiful colonial hotel is conveniently located near the historic section of Ouro Preto. The staff wear period costumes which is such a fun touch. They are super friendly and helpful. The cuisine in Minas Gerais is said to be the best in Brazil and the hotel’s full Brazilian breakfast (café colonial) is a shining example. There’s a lovely afternoon tea as well! My room was very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again!

When we left the pousada, we forgot some clothes in our room. They called us, and organized everything to send those clothes to our hotel in Rio de Janeiro via courier.We are very thankful. The Pousada is just marvellous and people very kind.

We really enjoyed the breakfast which had a large variety of local delicacies. The staff was nice and there’s valet parking. Unfortunately our room was quite dark as the window faced a wall. I didn’t like the decor of the room with angels on the wall - personally not our style and we hadn’t noticed it when booking it. There’s a free shuttle to the city centre as the city is quite hilly.

Pleased with choice of pousada

Excellent stay. Only one night but we would have enjoyed a longer stay. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, rooms and bathroom clean, and public spaces were appealing. The pousada was easy to find soon after entry into Ouro Preto. It is not in the middle of town but the walk was fine for us. If you go, be sure to walk to town at least once by going out the pousada and to the left. Don't always use the main road.

Excelente hotel! Fica a aproximadamente 1km do centro histórico. Oferecem um transfer ao centro histórico (ida e volta) em vários horários do dia, o que foi ótimo para nós. Oferecem, também, o café da tarde num ambiente extremamente aconchegante! Ficaríamos novamente, sem dúvidas.
