Located in Ouray, Timber Ridge Lodge is in the mountains and on the riverwalk. When we arrived we were greeted with a warm smile. The owner told us how to get around town and gave us a map. She also gave us a packet of s’mores to enjoy at the fire pit around back. The room was clean and enjoyable.

My family had an absolutely wonderful stay at Timber Ridge Lodge! The staff helped is get our bearings in Ouray and gave us plenty of suggestions for things to do. The hot springs are a 5 min walk and there is a great barbecue spot literally behind the building. Every evening they provided a fire pit to make smores—which our kids loved! And when the kids were tuckered out from outdoor activities, we spent time in their common room playing board games and drinking coffee and tea. I highly recommend staying here.

This is our second stay here. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained that I felt safe going barefoot like at home. Room was nicely decorated and inviting. Ceiling fan, floor fan, and portable a/c unit, soft comfortable king size bed all made sure we had a great night sleep. Even though the room faces the main road into town, we slept like a baby. Bathroom was a good size with a comfortable inclined back tub. S'mores provided for the evening fire pit and the next door restaurant's (The Smokehouse) breakfast was excellent. This place has every thing!

Property manager was a doll! Rooms had special touches, like cute towels and a handy information book. There were s'mores provided at night, and blankets for the fire pit. Now that hotels are using the pump bottles of soap, shampoo, and conditioner, housekeeping needs to pay closer attention to how full they are. Our room was out of soap and shampoo. I reported it to the front desk but got the feeling that it was probably not going to be reported to housekeeping. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay. It is located just outside of town on the river. There is a restaurant right behind the lodge and the food was good. There was a fire pit outside that was a nice place to gather. Rooms were clean and had air conditioning, which was nice.
