A true gem of a stay in a true gem of a mountain town. Located next to a small running river that you can hear from the hot tub. Grounds are meticulously maintained with flowers everywhere. Room was clean, spacious and well-suited to our party of four. John, in the office, was inviting and super helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

This is a really sweet little place to stay. The manager John is outstanding. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable in a Native American style. There were hand carved wooden animal statues dotted around the gardens, lush with flowers even in May. Right on the Uncompaghre River, trees all around and stunning views of the mountains when you walked out your door. It was quiet, just down the hill from the Main Street of Ouray. Box Canyon is an easy drive from there. The continental breakfast was very simple but all you really needed. Eggs and yogurt were added for the asking. I’d stay there again.

Very nice stay. It has a family feel in ownership, very kind. Room was clean, good amenities, nice extras like a group sitting area with a gas fire pit. Sits on a creek, need to get close to the bank for a view but it is literally about 20 feet from the social area. Close walk to Main St. and to restaurants on 7th, both within a 100 foot walk. Ok, me and the missus just discussed what was wrong (I hate all one sided reviews), so hear it goes. A couple of loungers or ADK chairs on the slope against the left building, close enough to view the creek. Pop machine was all out of every option. Place was not full (weekdays) and we were put in the one room with no mountain view (staircase blocked view), maybe upgrade us. All in all, we got engaged on the social patio area, it is a nice sitting area with amazing views so it felt like a great place to devote my love. Oh, and an hour after, close to sunset, a black bear crossed the creek practically in front of us in the social area. She popped up elsewhere to avoid us, but so cool. So to recap, we loved the place and gave 5 stars, Ouray is absolutely beautiful and this place is in the middle of it. WE WILL BE BACK!
