Beautifully kept grounds. The Glamping tent was a perfect balance of camping with the “luxuries “ of staying in a hotel room like a/c , a bath tub and tv although it was only a couple if channels and the wifi was spotty at best. But you are camping in between mountains after all! Staff is helpful and friendly even though we had a problem connecting through the expedia platform they were very accommodating. My tent room was clean and well stocked with coffee, tea, cream and sugar as well as a room spray, soap and insect repellent. Animals are a very nice experience , especially for the younger ones. Lots of activities or spots to relax at. Minutes to the Cango Caves and other local attractions and activities. Would recommend!

We choose to stay at this property as it gave us an overview of a working farm in Oudtshoorn. We stayed in a two bedroom modular home which was extremely quiet and nestled along the river. We did not have dinner there but did have breakfast. It was very good with a lot of options both cold and hot.

Room was fine. Restaurant needs to improve service delivery. Prices is also based on earning of Euro's or Dollars, not South African rands. Establishment is clean.

Beautiful location with lots of wildlife to see, and good food in the main restaurant. Expedia listing is inaccurate however, as many amenities listed were not available. Missing amenities: Game Room, Kids Club, Coffee Shop, Arcade, Lazy River, Mountain Biking, Supervized Children's Activities, Soundproofed Rooms, and the Zipline was broken. Additionally, spelunking and rock climbing are available in the area, but not at the property.

Surprise gem

The location and grounds were stunning and incredibly well kept. The children had lots of green space to play and explore and be up close with the animals. Our deck was expansive which made for lovely evenings watching the sun go down behind the hills and the sky change colour. The beds were incredibly comfortable which was a pleasant surprise as we have bad backs and often struggle to sleep while travelling. While the decor was an older fashioned style, everything was in pristine condition and the cleaning staff were lovely.

Working.Ostrich Farm glamping

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at old Mill. We were in one of the tents which have air conditioning, which was nice since it was a little warm and it was on the river driving by the other places I think we made the right choice. Dinner was fantastic My only complaint is they say it’s working ostrich farm so I was really looking forward to seeing and interacting with ostriches. They had four that you could feed mind you. They bite a little lol and 20 or so as you leave. Besides that great place

Stayed in the family cottage. While the facilities are a bit dated, the amenities are great and everything was put in place for us to have a comfortable stay. Beautiful property to visit, walk around, dine, see ostriches, etc.

We loved our room overlooking the dam. The decor was modern and the room attractive and clean. The restaurant was also excellent and the site convenient to all the attractions we wished to visit including Cango caves. We would definitely choose to stay there again

Our room - a tent was exactly what we hope for. In photos you could look from the deck across water & to the ostriches - we didn’t see a single one for the duration of our stay. We booked dinner, it was inedible.

The location is very nice and clean. The breakfast is not really worth taking it. Youth hostel quality. Far away from 4 stars hotel. For the second day we decided to go to Buffelsdrift nearby and pay for it, even when it was already in our package.

Very basic room, bathroom very dated and cluttered. Person that Checked us in was flustered and not welcoming at all. Buffet breakfast was very limited and not value for money. Room was booked for 2 people only, but was filled with a sleeper couch and another dated couch.

Wonderful staff and grounds. Need new beds.

Loved the convenience of pulling our car right to our room. The staff and the grounds are wonderful. The bed was probably the worst ever. We put anything we could underneath us for some padding. It was like cardboard. The restaurant is lovely. Our room was a luxury waterfront room. It was perfectly adequate I’d call it rustic, not luxury.
