We loved our stay here! A good location for us and walking distance to some very nice restaurants. The service from the staff was excellent, and it was such a lovely room.
This is an oasis - the gardens are beautiful and the whole complex just has a quality feel. The reception kept in touch with me ahead of my arrival and made sure that I was looked after upon arrival. The room was very nice - big enough for what I needed - clean and well-equipped. This is a delightful place to stay with lots of nice touches to welcome you and add to your stay.
Well maintained and tranquil property. Staff was super friendly, with quick Checkin. Room was spacious, very clean, with a lovely, big bathroom with both shower and bath. Beds were comfortable and had a good night's rest. Good quality bedding.
The breakfast, the room, the service and the overall situation of the premises were ideal. The bed was fantastic, as well as the bathroom and the whole room.
They couldn’t have made us feel more welcome! A real oasis! So clean, private and relaxing! We were welcomed like family and all staff were so friendly! Large accommodation couldn’t have asked for more! This place is on our list to return to next time!! E can not recommend more highly
Disappointed that the bathroom did not have a door. The toilet had but getting out of the shower meant hiding around the corner or making sure the curtains to room were closed. Not ideal when staying in a twin room with the opposite sex.
Breakfast was reasonable. Omelette was more of a crepe. Some of the buffet food was uncovered, which attracted flies.
An upmarket lodge, which is reflected in the cost. They provide continental breakfast (cooked breakfast was extra cost). Room was large, clean and comfy. Parking secure.
Continental breakfast was underwhelming.
Wifi didnt work in our room.
Felt it was a little impersonal
Very nice, but the night before we were to arrive we were told the swimming pool was not functioning. Bearing in mind the one day was in the mid thirties, this was disappointing. Our room had an artisan working all day, on both sides of us. One night I had to ask him to stop hammering on our walls at 8 o' clock at night. The hotel staff and very nice and considerate. management need to up their game.
A superb place to stay - large rooms/bathroom, great veranda overlooking well tendered and tranquil garden. Lovely garden swimming pool with sun loungers and lawn. Staff exellent and looked after us very well - even had menu's from local restaurants and staff happy to reserve a table. Great breafast served on the veranda. Highly recommend for a stay in town.
We had a relaxing stay here. If you're amidst a Garden Route trip, Outdshroon is definitely a must-visit town and Hlangana Lodge is a perfect spot to crash in.
The check-in was pretty smooth and our honeymoon suite was perfectly nestled right in the heart of the property.
Cape Karoo Restaurant is around the corner where the woodfired pizza was amazingly delicious and Cango Wild Ranch is also down the road where you can find a lot of fun activities and encounters with the wild animals.
This would have been a fantastic stay but we did book economy rooms and they were fairly basic compared to the rooms with private terraces onto the main gardens. Economy rooms seem to be for the drivers (mini bus and coach drivers etc) so I recommend checking where your room will be and perhaps going up a level.
We had paid for our room in advance. Our room was 10 degree centigrade on arrival and took 4 hours to warm. When I complained to the duty manager in the morning she just shrugged. There was no remorse nor an apology
We only had a one night stay here so it was a quick visit, it exceeded our expectations, it is a very pretty place with well kept gardens and our room was very modern. The hotel doesn’t do evening meals but will recommend a restaurant nearby and book it for you they also booked the Congo caves for us which is a twenty minute drive and worth doing the staff were very helpful. Breakfast is just continental but you can pay a small fee to have cooked, there was plenty to choose from.
