Everything was good, except the balconies. They looked slightly unsafe due to poor condition of the load bearing pillars. Aside from that the villa was in great condition.

Staff really nice and friendly but rooms are in really bad condition the beds have stains all around and the sofa are very old and not in good shape the ice machine doesn’t work the pools I do recommend had really good time in there with the kids. Breakfast doesn’t worth it the price $15 per person and they don’t have a lot to choose from. Arcade small but nice. They should have more inside activities for the kids

The staff was incredibly helpful, we had a small but important thing outside the norm that we needed help with and Tim the manager was remarkably helpful, diligent and took care of it for us fully. He went above and beyond.

Restaurant wasn’t open . Teenager had no knowledge of restaurants in the area. Internet was off and on that evening. I decided to “check out” at 9:30 pm and drove home for three hours. Property was clean, attractive. No complaints. Poorly trained staff

Thus property has charm. Our room had a shower curtain with black mold on the hem. The shower had been sprayed, but not wiped not rinsed. The mattress cover slipped up to reveal disgusting stains on the side. While we had an ice bucket, there were no cups so taking medicine was hard. What does one do if thirsty? The desk told me when I said they were needed”you could have come down to get one, we don’t put them in rooms because we don’t provide coffee makers”. This hotel was so disappointing considering that we got off the beaten path and paid more than the usual chain one. It is next to a lovely state park so somewhat isolated. They have a restaurant, in which we had dinner. It was fine, but was not open the next morning. Thank goodness there was coffee in the lobby and it was exceptionally good. On a positive note, this so called resort offers a lot for young families in terms of activities. It must do a better job with cleanliness and providing proper amenities in the rooms.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with any concerns. The pool area was clean and neat and the lifeguards were on point with keeping everyone safe. Very fun and famy friendly event spot. The drive to local cities for food were also convenient from the location. The room was spacious and comfortable for a family of 6. At least they gave us a warning about the possible bugs we might encounter in our space. It wasn't bad though as they had screens on the balcony doors. I would recommend this place a 100% for someone looking for family fun in Illinois.
