Castles are King (or Queen) and this was no exception! Right in the heart of the city with fine restaurants in the building and history all around. You are right beside the Rideau lock system so there is lots to see, not to mention the museums.

The château itself is absolutely magnificent; it is very well-preserved and authentic. The staff is truly attentive, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The nearby restaurants, ByWard Market, and shopping centre are very appealing, and all the surrounding government buildings are stunning.

We enjoyed our return stay in Ottawa. The staff is friendly, professional and accommodating, our room was very clean, and the new restaurant, Akira Back, is wonderful! We took evening strolls through beautiful Major's Hill Park, just behind the hotel and it is in full bloom. The National Art Gallery is a short walk with an impressive collection - not to be missed.
