The room was good. The neighborhood is on a place that has deteriorated significantly in Ottawa. It is close to amenities but not safe to walk alone at night.

My room was clean and comfortable. Go bag for bfast was supplied which was muffin, juice & yogurt. About 20min walk to downtown. Flat. Places to eat and grocery stores on the block. Plenty of eating options nearby. On Main Street into downtown but had no issues with noise. Staff were helpful.

We liked the location of this hotel because we could easily walk to By Ward Market, a large shopping mall, restaurants and the train station! My husband even walked past the By Ward Market to the War Museum. The staff were very helpful and friendly! Our room was clean and comfortable. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast that was included. The pictures on the website showed a very different breakfast being offered than what was there. We were given a juice box, a muffin and a small yogurt in a bag.

On arrival ample on site parking was stress free. Friendly and efficient check-in. Accommodation exactly as described with full size under-counter fridge and microwave oven. Simple bagged breakfast with unlimited coffee was fine. Not too noisy from main road. Good air-con if needed.

This plays gets good reviews but still surprised me pleasantly. It's not flashy but perfectly decent, with clean, spacious, pleasant rooms in a great downtown location. Parking is free and the lot seems reasonably secure. All in all it’s a well run hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely book again when I'm back in town.

The shower water was nice and hot and plenty. There was no handicap accessible area anywhere so it made it more challenging with the wheelchair. On one of the two nights some beggar was knocking on our door asking for money. It's in a rundown area of ottawa. Also they don't give you fresh towels or make your bed everyday it's only if you stay there three or more nights. It's not a place where you want to take important family members if you want to crash out for the night it's okay other than that there's stairs to go upstairs there's no elevator and they give you just a little bit of breakfast. It's worth staying at a more expensive hotel with elevator secure parking and a decent breakfast

Budget-friendly, but overall below average. Cleanliness was disappointing, including finding a dead cockroach in the room. The bathroom was very small, there was no drinking water station available, and guests were directed to use tap water from the washroom. The room was quiet at night but poorly ventilated. The takeaway breakfast was very basic (juice, yogurt, and a muffin). On the positive side, the front desk staff were helpful and accommodating, and checkout was smooth and efficient.

This place is way overdue for a major overhaul, exterior as well as the rooms. Everything is broken and falling apart. The cleaning staff have done the best they can but there is not much they can do with this property. The best things I can say is that the shower water pressure was good, the staff were friendly and there was free parking. We were there for 3 nights and there was no housekeeping services the whole time. We had to ask for clean towels and for the garbage to be collected on our second and third days. My non-smoking room reeked like a dirty, smoky tavern. Our free breakfast was a gross muffin and a yogurt in a brown paper bag. I would definitely not recommend this property to anyone. It was pretty disgusting.
