Good solo option

Clean, efficient and all i needed as a solo traveller. The hotel is designed for being small rooms so it can be cheaper. The room still had everything needed.

Too minimal. Spend a little extra somewhere else.

There is such a thing as going too minimal. If you are tall, good luck fitting in the beds, and since they are in alcoves, don’t expect to hang your feet of the edge. There is barely enough room to open a cabin trolley and not have to constantly step over it. There is no safe, no fridge, no possibility to adjust aircon. Barely a shelf to place a few items. Duvets are way too warm for 25-30 degree weather. Breakfast is way overpriced unless you book it the day before. Some outlets are not properly attached to the wall. The inner courtyard makes sure that, that one annoying person who yells with open windows will keep everyone up.

Locationwise, it was good, ten minutes from Oslo central area and everything seemed close. Breakfast was as advertised in the hotel website, particularly the parties. Everything is smart operated as advertised as well. However, I found the double room doesn't fit the description. It was really small that my husband and I could barely move around in the small box given to us. I did feel that we have been scammed into paying for a single room for a double room price. The room should have been booked with a disclaimer on how small it is so people, if they still go for it, would know what to expect.

The Smarthotel in Oslo was a major disappointment. The rooms are incredibly small, with barely enough space to move around. They were also poorly maintained and unclean, with stained carpets and dust everywhere. To top it off, the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

The hotel was clean. Friendly staff and the breakfast was an English breakfast with bacon, sausage, and eggs. Check out the rooms before you pay. Ours was a small room with a twin bed that supposedly fit two people. Impossible! We went down to check-in and asked for a bigger room. They said it was no problem and we changed to a bigger one with a double bed. So nice.
