The staff were very kind and accommodating. The extra things like tea, coffee, pajamas, toothbrushes, and combs were all self-service in the lobby which was nice. And there’s a lot of things that can be loaned such as iced pillows. However, we weren’t impressed by the cleanliness - bedsheets and curtains came stained.

Functional, no-frills hotel in business district. It has all you need for a good night's sleep (kettle, multiple choices of tea coffee, mini fridge, etc). I did not have breakfast (or any other meal) there. Very convenient for transportation options - couple metro lines <7mins walk Keihan line to Kyoto. Not the happening area food-ootions wise, quite a walk away. That isn't necessarily a bad thing - it is a healthy walk 🙂

My family’s home for 4 nights in Sotetsu Kitahama hotel and it was a blast and a pleasure being in this hotel. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful when we have any questions and needs from them. Their breakfast was amazing and it’s very affordable. Additionally, the hotel room upon arrival was thoroughly cleaned. Good things with Japan hotels especially this one has a unique feature where when you use the restroom, the toilet flushes for you and you dont need to use toilet paper which is amazing. Other good things are free and good WiFi, free needs such as toothbrushes, etc in the front, and a 4 minute walk to a train station called Kitahama Station when exploring the city. Only thing that is not good is its cramp as its a small room and the width from the wall to the bed is near each other that's only if your used to bigger living spaces but overall I had a very good experience. I would definitely recommend this to someone travelling to Osaka. In the future, I would definitely use this hotel again.

Unfortunately there was mold in the air conditioner. The room smelt horrible after I switched on the aircon. I looked inside and I saw a lot of mold. We told staff and they moved us into a new room straight away. They were very helpful however we noticed that there was mold in all of the communal air conditioners that we saw and so we did not use the air con while we were there in the middle of winter. Staff were great but the company needs to maintain their building better. They cram a lot of people in very small rooms they should spend some of the revenue on fully cleaning the air vents and air conditioning systems.
