Amazing setting. Wish we had stayed longer. Very beautiful and well maintained property. The sauna and fjord swimming an added bonus. Tranquil. Just what we needed.
We were lucky to have perfect weather at the end of September. No rain and all the views/hikes were amazing. It’s a place for people that likes the outdoors and calm of a remote place.
The waterfront location was superb. The fjord was delightfully warm and inviting. Could not resist a swim. The food was delicious and the service superior. We felt welcome and at home
Very remote village. The only(?) restaurant in town is the hotel restaurant. Good location to stopover and cut my drive from Geiranger back to Alesund in half. Hotel is nice. Good breakfast in the morning.
Great view and great room. The only problem was that the room smelled like somone smoked in their but after opening the windows it was gone after 2 days
This place is heaven. Not just Sagafjord but Saebo. Quiet. Mountains. Fjiord. The breakfast at Sagafjord was the best ive ever had! All you can eat Smoked salmon?!?! Unheard of.

If you have bad luck with weather and Connor go out on hikes, there is not a lot to do on the property, as there are no onsite water sports; bikes available for free are not in good condition; town is easily walkable in relatively little time. If you have good weather, than these factors noted are minimized in impact. In retrospect, we would have continued on and stayed in Ålesund for more options on a very rainy day. On the plus side, breakfast was good and free, easy parking. Dinner was expensive but good and the person who waited on our table (from Buenos Aires) was really nice. Room was okay— functional for a one night stay.
The location was perfect and cozy for the different activities in the area, our room was a little small sized but I guessing was our fault. The location has à la carte restaurant, the menu was different every day; the chef surprised us daily.
So delicious.
Super recommended
Very nice location and views from the hotel. Cozy interior and clean room. The blinds was however not working properly, but it was possible to get it completely dark anyways. The beds were falling apart from each other and the top mattress sided down during night, which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, we had a really good stay. Cozy and nice breakfast!
Meals were available for breakfast and dinner There was a good selection. I had a chance to eat venison. The food was good. The location was on scenic fjord, a good feature. There was laundry facility on the premises.
That amenity was needed at that time. The hotel staff was attentive to my needs.
The front desk staff was very helpful. When I mentioned we were going to Stryn, the front desk associate suggested us to take ferry to Leknes and drive through the valley (including Oye) instead of driving through Volda city center. It was a great suggestion and one that was truly appreciated. Thank you!! We enjoyed the beautiful drive through the valley:):) It was the highlight of the day:)
Flott sted med høye majestetiske fjell uansett hvilken retning du ser. Perfekt for alle fotografer. Veldig stille og rolig beliggenhet. Jeg var litt uheldig med været de dagene jeg var der, men kommer høyst sannsynligvis til å ta en tur (eller flere) senere. Veldig hyggelig personale.
