It is significantly more convenient to stay at a Disney resort. Transportation to and from the parks is too restrictive.

This resort is such a hidden gem, we loved it. Everything is centrally located (pool, restaurants, arcade, Starbucks, market, etc) so you don’t have to worry about leaving the kids while you grab a drink or that they will disappear to another area. The staff all seem to genuinely like their jobs, but you don’t have to interact much because the resort policies are so normal and they have already thought of everything. No one is policing your towels, yelling at kids, or otherwise interrupting your relaxing vacation. They keep the pool and hot tubs open very late/open early, DJ at the pool is fun, and the suites are great and easy to get to from everywhere (no long walks to get coffee). The restaurant variety is impressive - especially the new sport bar with golf annd baseball simulators. The Disney shuttle was convenient. We took Lyft to the parks and Disney Springs for less than $10 each way/less than 10 minute ride to almost everything. Clientelle is on the higher end side and we much preferred this to Disney resorts.

Room should have been ready for 4pm, it was not, it was closer to 5pm. Paid for a pool view, got a view of a roof, and from a certain angle a glimpse of the pool. They allowed people to put towels down at the pool loungers to secure their spot, the owners then rocked up later in the day to assume their position. As part of the “ resort fee” they offer fishing equipment, but no bait. The staff member told me they had been out of bait for weeks and were waiting on it coming in! The rooms are nicely decorated, but the noise from the pipes is horrendous.We had a later check out, supposed to be noon, from 10am on 3 operate occasions we had someone from housekeeping knock on the door to see if we were leaving, which was weird, because there was zero housekeeping during our entire stay ! Glad we were only there for 2 nights, it really was a waste of money. Best to pay a few $ more and stay at a quality resort with amenities you can use, and housekeeping daily. Lesson learned.
