The location is beautiful, located on a golf course. We were just there to stay on our way through, so the golfing aspect was lost on us. The outside presents well, but our room was worn and tired, yet clean. The restaurant was expensive and featured fancy food; we went to the local Vietnamese restaurant (Tonkinese) and had a great meal. The hotel seemed to cater to bus trips of golfers. Overall decent.

We had a wonderful stay at Manoir des Sables. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The location is perfect for exploring Magog and Orford, while still being peaceful and relaxing. We especially enjoyed the pool and the overall atmosphere. A great place for a weekend getaway, we would definitely stay here again!

We were only there overnight but the grounds looked lovely. Room was clean and beds were fine. The toilet however was SUPER noisy and the bathroom door did not lock. Also, we were 3 adults in the room and there were only 2 pods of coffee given. Aside from that, we got a restful sleep before our drive home.

Staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful. The room appeared nice. Lovely balcony with a view of the mountains. Shower needed a towel rack as there was no where to put your towel. The bathroom floor was not clean, could see a someone's footprint. The lights were dusty. The tv remote didn't work. The tv should have been able to move since the couch was against a wall and you had to sit sideways to see. The bed was against the hallway wall and it sounded like a herd was going by. You could hear everything. Parking was free. Better to eat off the property.

Manoir des Sables feels like an old fashioned family resort. The small lake at the back was fun with kayaking and paddle boating. The pool was nice but there was not much seating or enough lounge chairs. The food was very good but expensive. Our room was okay. The mattress had to be replaced as the first was saggy but the staff was very accommodating. Over all our experience was good. The resort does feel older and a little run down. The food was good and the staff was wonderful.

Place was clean.. it could have use a gardener at the spa and pool area. When the sun came out everything looked better. A slight scent in the indoor pool area.. perhaps the carpet just outside was wet. Our room had that AC on the wall.. not crazy about those. Anyone sleeping close to it will wake up with a torticolis. It was a last minute choice. Beds were comfortable.

Beautiful golf course and many lakeside amenities and activities. Staff helpful and polite. The hotel itself is getting old and dingey. Carpets, walls all in need of deep clean. Panelling on elevator walls broken and large pieces missing. It looks shabby. Furniture in bedrooms are outdated although bed and linens were comfortable. Overall, mot what you should expect from a 4-star hotel.

Overall, this is a really beautiful property with great amenities, friendly staff, and an ideal location. The views are stunning, yet it's still only a 10–15 minute drive to downtown Magog and Orford Beach, making it a perfect spot to relax while staying close to local attractions. The room was generally clean, but I think more attention to detail is needed. The inside of the fridge had been left dirty, the bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly (especially the corners and countertop), and the bottom track of the sliding patio door was noticeably dirty. With a little more focus on these details, the experience would have been excellent. Overall, we would come again!

Breakfast was a nice spread. Lots of food options for meat eaters and vegetarians and polite servers. the melons and fruit were nicely cut to bit sized wedges and pieces. Sadly the kayaks and paddle board hut was closed (perhaps too early in the season? but we visited on June 14). The hot tubs appears to only be available to spa visitors.

Hot tubs are dated and smells like mold and the indoor pool wasn’t clean and was dated. The sona never worked. The room was clean and ok, just a bit dated. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Staff were nice. No water in the premises need to have change or 5-10$ bills to buy in the vending machine.

I can see how beautiful the place once was and the potential it has but it is very run down; especially, the outdoor hot tub area and the indoor pool area. We went with full intent to use all the amenities and we would have but not everything was operational. The bikes were all tied up and in total disrepair and had been for weeks so we couldn't use them, though it was listed noted in description that they were unavailable. Management said we wet the only ones that had even asked to use them, so that was justifiable they didn't need to be available to us. There were three paddle boards, but only 1 paddle, and one of the paddle boards was held together with duck tape; needless to say, it held water and couldn't be used, so we couldn't use paddle boards. Hot tubs and pools weren't clean and saunas were out of order. Lastly, breakfast buffet was not worth $25 each. This was a girls trip and we just wanted to enjoy our time together doing fun things and relaxing by pool and we still made it memorable regardless of the mishaps but we were very disappointed and would not book again with the condition the place is now, with that said, I do see the potential if someone would just invest and give it some much needed love, so until this resort is repaired and brought back to life, I do not recommend you stay here. Lastly, breakfast was not worth $25 each.

You always have to rate it based on the price you paid. We got a good deal, and although our room was not renovated and needs a major update, it was fine and we had a great view. The staff is very friendly, and the food at the restaurant is excellent. The only issue, and the area that needs improvement, is the hallway. The carpet does not seem to be vacuumed properly. We have stayed there a couple of times over the years, and it definitely looks like no attachment was used on the vacuum for the cracks along the edges, and they do not get close enough to the room doors or the walls.

The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. There could have been a bit more amenities (e.g. body lotion was missing) but at least there was a mini fridge. The view outside from our room was beautiful, we had direct view to the mountains and the outdoor pool. it's a shame that the ice machine on our floor was broken and we needed to go to the reception to get ice in a plastic bag. For the price I would absolutely come back.
