This place has gone downhill. It wasn't "nice" to start with but it was clean and comfortable. The last few times I've stayed there had been a musty odor and mildew on the shower curtain, sticky substances ont he table and nightstand, old separated toiletries, TV not working, shorted on towel, and the rooms are really looking very worn. To call this a one star motel is even a stretch. The owners need to seriously update the property. I have stayed here off and on for the last 4 years and it's gotten significantly worse in that time span

We stayed here to see the Christmas light show in Brookings and were surprised to see the high rating of this motel with rooms going for less than $100 a night. The property is in need of updating but the staff was professional and our room was clean. We would stay here again.

Property needs some updating. The bedding had been updated, but the mattresses are a little older. The paint trim in the room was not completely painted and the vinyl plank flooring in the room was buckling in several places, needs some maintenance. The hot water was super hot, great to warm up after a day fishing in the cold. Water pressure in the shower was awesome. The bathroom was clean.
