“Great place just on the beach in a peaceful area”

“We stayed one Saturday night in early August. A nice welcoming hotel with ample parking. We had a premier room which was very comfortable, quiet, and had pleasant views over the gardens. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and reminded us that everything in the minibar was complimentary! As we’d eaten prior to arriving, the snacks and drinks - both alcoholic and soft were just enough to keep us satisfied until our good night’s sleep. “Self access = soulless. Didn't see another person. Empty tables in the dining room felt like the Marie Celeste. Breakfast in a bakery and fridge in the room. Very expensive for what it was. Very dim lighting.”

“We had a very comfortable stay at the wheatsheaf in Swindon, staff were friendly and welcoming, a bar that was open for drinks and places to sit and relax. Our room was comfortable although window wouldn’t stay open to let in fresh air as it was a warm day outside. Our even meal was delicious with a good choice of menu. Breakfast was also good and the service was swift. a great start to our day. All in all an enjoyable stay would revisit this hotel again in the future.”

“Really nice 3 star close to Lindisfarne. Perfect for judging the crossing times to the island and close enough by car to Berwick upon Tweed for a great choice of restaurants. Banburgh Castle is also close-by.”
