FREE breakfast, with individually prepared Omelettes. Honesty bar. Very clean and well maintained.”

We had a lovely dinner, with complimentary starter, which was delicious. The room was basic (e.g. no tea/coffee making facilities, simple shower) but was clean and comfortable. “A remarkable place to stay. As a hotel it does have it's limitations- light and soundproofing are both quite poor. However the bed was very comfy, the WiFi was decent, the bathrooms were very clean and the shower was good. Decent continental breakfast. Very friendly staff. The main reason for staying here is to experience this historic building and the stories it has to tell. From that point of view it is amazing. So no it isn't the most luxurious place I've ever stayed but it might well be...
