The staff was really friendly, hotel is near to the sphere, the mexican restaurant have délicieux food and the bartender was súper nice!!

Terrible Staff Member Employee, Tanisha was extremely rude upon engagement. She checked us in since the kiosk was not activating the key cards. I went to retrieve keycards and we were confirmed a "pool view" room. I went to the assigned room 05323 to check out the room prior to bringing my luggage to the room and found that there was no pool view but a view of a roof to an adjacent portion of the property. I then went back down to advise Tanisha that the room was not a pool view room as paid for. At this point, Tanisha became irritable and repeated that it is a pool view room and I advised her again that there is not pool view from this particular room and if it was possible to have this corrected. She said the property was fully booked. I requested a manager and Tanisha's response was "I can get a manager but they're going to tell you the same thing." Ruby came out to assist and was very nice but there was no effort to rectify or explain how clearly my room which was purchased months ago was given to another party. Ruby also stated that the 5th floor does not have pool views; however, this was the floor assigned. This is unacceptable and unfortunately, my first experience staying at Mandalay Bay was nice. This experience and interaction was highly inappropriate and disappointing.

Our stay began horribly waiting in line for more than 40 minutes just to check in after driving 4 hours from California. Apparently, new rules allow for only one person to wait in line at the check in desk. Well, I had no one to talk with while I waited. My wife had to go find a seat to wait for me. The lady at the front desk was very apologetic which kind of eased the pain a bit. But that did not last long. We had to wait in yet another line to board the elevator. At least the wait was not a lonely one. My wife and I talked about the next time we are NOT going to pick this property again. I used to love this property when it was the Hilton Int'l. I stayed here several times. We were assigned to a high floor so that was nice. I hated the fact that I had to pay for parking when it is free at Virgin Hotel. So there is another reason for picking this property again. We saw Air Supply in Concert which made the above mentioned situation with checking and parking a bit tolerable. We patronized the Vinyl record store and Tacos Locos, that was nice. Our room was comfortable and the temperature was excellent. The house maids, except for one, were approachable and nice. Other than that, our stay was ok. However, with all the choices on and off the strip, this place is no longer for me. Thanks for your hospitality anyway.
