Fantastic view even though it rained and at times the sea entrance was misty it was still fascinating. Dinner was superb with the most delicious seafood chowder served. A special treat was being next to a family group who sang beautifully and a man in the group played the guitar. Thank you Omapere Sands, a very enjoyable night's stay. We enjoyed our stay and the location is superb - we had a lovely outlook to the sea. However, I was cold when I went to bed even with the heat pump on, and there was no spare blanket to add to the bedding. Reception was closed so I had to layer up with day clothes over PJ's.

What a view! we had stayed here a few years back on a bike trip so really wanted to stay again and relax. Great food, the property is getting a bit of a face life and you can see the effort going in to get it back to a very high level

The villa was private and was surrounded by bush. It was quiet and peaceful and was right on the beach. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. We enjoyed a very pleasant break and will certainly rebook.

We were upgraded to a Villa which was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels and lovely shower/bath/handwash products in the bathroom. The restaurant dinner meal was delicious and generous. Continental breakfast was good, but I would have liked to have seen a better selection of fresh fruit on offer, rather than the canned fruit salad. All up it was a great stay at The Sands.

Comfort & space, great views.

Great spacious room around the back, recently refurbished and very comfortable beds and chairs. Nice deck area for sitting outside and wonderful pool with great views over the beach & harbour. Would happily recommend & return. Friendly bar staff & reception- thank you.

Hi team, we could see you're busy updating things. We were disappointed to find out everything was running at half mast AFTER the booking was paid for and finalised (through Expedia site). There were a couple of things in our room that were the reason for our scores. There was a tissue on the floor behind the barhroom door and the ranchslider couldn't lick properly. We had run away for a break from the farm (important to us - and probably many others you might not be aware of) ... although the kai was yum, it was stink we didn't jnow beforehand (as mentioned above) that the selection would be so limited. The Cafe across the road you recommended at checkin and in your confirmation email was pretty average, with hardly any options yesterday arvo (to the pount we didn't even consider it for breakfast this morning). Also, just for your advantage, i was ready to work through the lust of cocktails last night, and although your bar man was lovely and friendly, even they were average - watery as. Im sorry to be harsh, but we were left feeling really dissapointed. Good luck with the renos

The view & sounding beach area is fantastic. Beautiful spot to wake up to! Our room needed a really good vacuum, especially behind bed side tables etc. The outdoor furniture on our deck was really dirty as well as the tiles. Nothing that a water blast wouldn't fix. The shower curtain is well passed it's used by date. Only place for it is the bin. Daily room service doesn't include making beds, which we found strange. Overall, it's all very tired looking. The restaurant had lovely food & great service. If some general maintenance was done the property & rooms would be so much better & a delight to stay at
