Octant Vila Monte was a lovely surprise, such a charming hotel with great service! The common areas were beautiful, the room was big and charming and there was a lot of attention to details, which made all the difference. Staff was not only kind but very professional. Staff are excellent, particularly key restaurant team members and the concierge. More family orientated than anticipated, could do with an adults only bar adjacent to the AO pool. Significant wasp problem in August, couldn't eat outside before 8pm.

Perfect in every way! This is what 5 starts looks like! My husband and I were traveling for our wedding anniversary, and our Secret Suite was perfect--the private pool, the patio, the concierge, the breakfasts...it was all heaven. The hospitality is warm and down-to-earth. The food at the restaurant is amazing--including amazing vegetarian dishes. The resort includes different activities like yoga, cocktail-making classes, and wine tasting. For an unforgettable experience in the Algarve, don't hesitate--book this now!

The Octant Vila Monte is a beautiful hotel set into the countryside about 4-5 miles from the beach. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and peaceful as the hotel, its grounds and our room were presented beautifully. The staff in all areas were so kind, friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The breakfast was outstanding with fresh produce and a stunning view and the hotel restaurant served amazing food each day. The adults only po was t heated but with the sunshine that wasn’t a problem. I borrowed a bike to cycle into the local towns which was a great addition. All in al, highly recommend - we’ll be back as soon as we can!

The outside area of Vila Monte is basically a lush and beautiful garden. There are two outside pools advertised as heated and useable all year long. However the pool is around 18 degrees so I would not consider them heated at all. The rooms were okay but the cleaning was not thorough - there were spider nets and dried out mosquitos from last season. Further the A/C emitted a nasty smell even after we had changed the room upon request. The premises used to be great for sure but they are worn down a bit. The staff however was friendly, no complaints there. Overall, I wished better cost performance.

a very luxury farm house experience

Our experience at Vila Monte was simply extraordinary. Not only is the hotel very beautiful and surrounded by an amazing garden, but it also offers great services and activities in the area. The hotel also has great facilities (two swimming pools, gym, lake, tennis court, botanical garden and a very good restaurant). What we liked most about our experience is the feeling of boutique hotel and intimacy and nature, combined with all the confort and services of a 5 stars resort. Would only recommend to visit!!
