“Lovely people running a lovely hotel serving excellent food. However - and this was self inflicted as all the information is given when booking -we were in one of the two 'small double' rooms and I missed the fact that the room hss a small double bed as well as being a small room! My mistake just be aware. I'd happily stay here again just in a bigger room. Dunster Castle is a short uphill walk away and well worth a visit. The West Somerset Railway is pretty close and also a very good trip.”

“This was a wonderful stay, the staff could not do enough and when I expressed a question about whether I could stay another night, the young man looking after me went out of his way to rearrange, speak to his manager and make it so that I could stay in the same room. “As I find stairs difficult with luggage, and no lift, staff were helpful and changed my room from 1st floor to ground. Staff were pleasant but bar service could be improved. The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. Just small things really but could be improved. ”
