Vacations Close To Ogunquit Playhouse

We came here on a motorcycle trip. It checked all of the boxes for basic lodging on our way through Maine. Nothing fancy, but it wasn't a dump either. One significant feature was it was right next door to a huge Brew pub. It was also right across the street from a barbecue spot for dinner. And also it was right down the road from a great little breakfast joint that had great homemade corned beef hash. I would gladly return

The property is in a great location minutes walk away from stores, great food and sights and trips. But as a property itself it lacks amenities and maintenance levels to fully justify the high seasonal pricing

Docent is a low touch hotel that has very clean, great spaces. The staff is incredible and helpful.

Overall, the staff was friendly, and the room was clean, which I appreciated. However, there were several issues that made the stay feel disappointing, especially considering the price. A few of the room amenities were not functioning properly. The filtered water dispenser did not work, and the blackout shades were terrible , causing us to wake up at sunrise each morning. While these may seem like minor inconveniences individually, together they detracted from the overall experience. Given the hotel’s reputation and high ratings, I expected more. In my opinion, the accommodations did not justify the premium price, and I left feeling that I had overpaid for what was offered. The most concerning part of my stay occurred at checkout. Before leaving, I asked a staff member if she could watch my belongings for about ten minutes while I found a restroom, as there are no public restrooms available. She kindly agreed, but when I returned, she had left the area and my belongings were unattended. Fortunately, nothing was taken, but anyone could have walked away with my luggage. That experience was both frustrating and unsettling, and it left a disappointing final impression of an otherwise pleasant stay.

Well maintained and cleaned, cleaning ladies on site were helpful! Close walk to the pier, and places to eat. We had some pretty loud upstairs neighbors at night. (College students) but overall our stay was very enjoyable and would recommend!

Historical property that is slowly going through remodeling. Some parts of the hotel are dated . Great continental style breakfast included with expanded menu. Dining is cramped though! Little more out of town so used uber and drive in both days . Overnight parking at hotel for 12 spots . Next visit to Portland we would stay downtown and pay the extra . Lived our visit to Portland recommend Casco bay island visit ❤️

The accommodations were perfect for a family of 4. The 2 bedroom/2 bath was very spacious, very well laid out and in an excellent location. We really enjoyed our stay!
