This hotel is located in downtown Ocho Rios, what it lacks in location it makes up for in cleanliness , beautiful architecture inside and excellent staff. Everyone tried to make sure we had a good stay. The staff was polite friendly and helpful. Great for the price, will return.

Sago Palm has several benefits on property, like a restaurant/bar, pool, fitness room, parking, and meeting rooms. Some rooms have kitchenettes. Our room rate included breakfast. My only complaint about our specific room was the bright LED lights in the hallway shining through the tinted window near the bed, which made it hard to sleep. (Perhaps a room darkening shade could be installed?) Sago Palm is within walking distance of the beach -- just ask the front desk for a pass, which is available from 8am-5:30pm, then take the pass to the beach entrance/gate where you will sign your name and receive a wristband. Shaded picnic tables at the beach are "first come, first serve."

The deck chairs need replacing. The pool area was always clean. Joel created yummy breakfast for Raymond to serve us daily. Patrice, Hugh and Miguel and our bartender were excellent at assisting us with every need and request. Definitely recommend the staying here.

The location of the hotel was great, given that it was right on the main street, making things easily accessible. The hotel bordered a gully though, which was in a deplorable state. The dining staff were great. We had aurhentic, tasty Jamaican food for breakfast.....even our toddler loved it. The bedroom and bathroom could use a bit more cleaning though and the pool was closed for most of our stay. The staff were polite, buy not very hospitable. Overall, the hotel was modern, provided clean enough, carpet free space that was close to all the amenities in Ocho Rios, including the beach and shopping areas, but needed a little bit more to get to five star quality.

The space is exactly as shown on the website. Staff was polite and helpful. Great breakfast. The room had no windows that were openable. Gym was small and smelt dusty with limited equipment.
