This was the second time we stayed at The Islander Inn this year and both times their indoor Hot Tub was not working. We really like the resort and its location, right on Ocean Isle Beach. We plan on staying there again next year.

The location was great. Parking was easy. But the room was very noisy. We could hear the person above us walking around and the bathroom water running down the pipes. Also all the hallway traffic and conversations next door. Did not eat breakfast as it was all carbs and prepackaged foods.

Beautiful views from our balcony ocean view room, very polite and helpful staff. They should try to restructure the elevator layout though- one elevator doesn't seem like enough for the entire place and anyone who has difficulty walking may have difficulties if their room is too far away or on an upper level.

The staff was very kind and helpful. My mother came to visit me on the island but she needs a walker to get around and could not go up the steps at my home. I booked a room at the Islander for my mother and sister. I requested a handicap that faced the ocean, there were none. I booked the last room with 2 beds that faced the ocean it was in the 7th building the furthest from the elevator. When we checked in Lori the desk clerk I had spoken to had placed my mother in the 2nd build on the 2nd floor right across from the elevator. She had a perfect view of the ocean from the room and the balcony. She was also closer to the lobby and breakfast area. Wonderful people and service.

We had a great time being right on the beach. The balcony was our favorite place to go in the morning or night. The view was spectacular. A very convenient location for beach access.
