Beach view was wonderful. The room was clean but outdated. They have plenty of bars around love the ice skating ring staff was OK. Didn’t really communicate with them that much. We were OK. Overall day was very wonderful. Food in the restaurant was very good.

Rooms are decent. Beds are so uncomfortable though, we could barely sleep. My AC didn’t work either. Pool and hot tub area could use a good cleaning and upgrades. Hot tub doesn’t get up to appropriate temperature. Staff were very helpful though.coffee at the Bistro was excellent as well!

This was the first time we stayed at the hotel part of the Carousel and not the condos. Hotel rooms were well maintained, activities were perfect for a three generation family. Well recommended!

Carousel was a great hotel, they have a lot to offer for families especially with young children! Very close to the beach which is great for young kids! Only complaint is that the rooms need updating and weren't the cleanest, but would still go back!

Great stay!! Property is great for families with kids. They need to get the kitchen together so many ppl either returned there meals or walked out during breakfast. We sent our food back and then left.. besides that it was a great trip.

We stayed in room 416 this time. The bath tub could use a good refinishing. There weren't any lamps in the room so lighting wasn't great. We kept the foyer light on as well as the lights above the bed so we could see. This was our third stay. The front desk staff were amazing and friendly as usual. The bar staff and restaurant staff were also great. Overall, another great stay but the hotel definitely could definitely use some reno.

The best place on the beach for families. So many activities for the kids, yet still relaxing for parents. Clean, short walk to the beach, plenty of parking, good food, relaxing dining, gift shop, 2 game rooms, coffee, tea and snack food available in atrium, comfortable seating areas. . . music and events. Just our favorite place to go with the kids. . . and we've stayed at a lot of places in OC. This is the one!

We stood for two nights with the family. Is convenient, on the beach. and lots of things to do. It would have been nice to have a stove top and a better coffee maker, and cleaner towels overall it was a great stay. Will come back.

We had a great time. The property needs some TLC for sure but overall it was good. My kids had a blast. The staff at the hotel were very nice. Location for us was great. The beach view was amazing. My only negative interaction was at the reef restaurant. However, I think they are separate from the hotel. If you have a thick accent get ready for rude service.

The room was nice but next time we would chose a second floor not right in front of the swimming pool. This place had everything you need to just stay and enjoy the resort. Tsunami had great food and drinks. Loved the fire pits and close walk to the beach and ocean.

Hotel amenities were ok, lagging wifi, it is a family friendly place to stay. However there was continuous smell of people vaping and or smoking on the on the adjacent balconies. Hotel needs to do a better job at enforcing smoke free environment.

Front desk staff was not very friendly. However we were able to check in early which was nice after driving 4 hours. The breaker in our room kept blowing when more than one thing was plugged in so that was definitely inconvenient. The amenities were great and being right on the beach was definitely a plus. Although the icing skating rink was closed which I think should have been advertised. One of the elevators was also down so we had to take the steps many times. As a whole other than some minor inconveniences we would definitely stay again. Really enjoyed all the amenities but the place could definitely use some upgrades. The gift shop also had some really cute stuff.
