This was the first time we stayed at the hotel part of the Carousel and not the condos. Hotel rooms were well maintained, activities were perfect for a three generation family. Well recommended!

Great stay!! Property is great for families with kids. They need to get the kitchen together so many ppl either returned there meals or walked out during breakfast. We sent our food back and then left.. besides that it was a great trip.

Carousel was a great hotel, they have a lot to offer for families especially with young children! Very close to the beach which is great for young kids! Only complaint is that the rooms need updating and weren't the cleanest, but would still go back!

The best place on the beach for families. So many activities for the kids, yet still relaxing for parents. Clean, short walk to the beach, plenty of parking, good food, relaxing dining, gift shop, 2 game rooms, coffee, tea and snack food available in atrium, comfortable seating areas. . . music and events. Just our favorite place to go with the kids. . . and we've stayed at a lot of places in OC. This is the one!

We stood for two nights with the family. Is convenient, on the beach. and lots of things to do. It would have been nice to have a stove top and a better coffee maker, and cleaner towels overall it was a great stay. Will come back.

We had a great time. The property needs some TLC for sure but overall it was good. My kids had a blast. The staff at the hotel were very nice. Location for us was great. The beach view was amazing. My only negative interaction was at the reef restaurant. However, I think they are separate from the hotel. If you have a thick accent get ready for rude service.

Hotel amenities were ok, lagging wifi, it is a family friendly place to stay. However there was continuous smell of people vaping and or smoking on the on the adjacent balconies. Hotel needs to do a better job at enforcing smoke free environment.

The room was nice but next time we would chose a second floor not right in front of the swimming pool. This place had everything you need to just stay and enjoy the resort. Tsunami had great food and drinks. Loved the fire pits and close walk to the beach and ocean.

The property is was great overall. Clean room but a bit of outdated bathroom. Food and everything you need is on the property. The check in process on a Saturday afternoon was very long and stressful, a lot of people checking in all at the same time. Had to wait 45 min to check in while tired due to long road on top of that.

We enjoyed our time. The highlights were available snacks/coffee and the bar/food were good with great service. The hotel is in need of updates. It looks and feels worn. We did not like our room being on the first floor. It took away from the view and did not provide the partial ocean view as advertised.
