Lovely hotel in good location. In walking distance of centre. Beautiful spacious room with everything you need for a great stay. Comfortable bed. Very helpful staff. Not had breakfast yet but looks like plenty of choice

They accommodated our group of four with one double bed and two single beds in the same room to avoid extra costs. I cannot say enough about the breakfast, which cost only 10 SBP per person. One hot menu choice and unlimited continental and drink choices included. I have found nowhere else that does that, at least on our Scotland trip. If your travels take you anywhere near Oban, book this hotel!

The Ranald is a small hotel located very close to the pier, which was convenient for us since we returned late from Mull and needed a place to stay before driving back to Cambridge. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The hotel does not have a restaurant, and the breakfast options were somewhat limited. Additionally, there is no lift, which was a bit inconvenient as I am recovering from a broken leg. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
