The main building is a beautiful old country house. The food is lovely with a very relaxing atmosphere. The Clarsach being played near the roaring wood fire was really special. Having your own island to explore is a bonus!

This was a fabulous hotel. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this private island escape. If you get a chance, upgrade to a spa room, they are amazing! Stunning castle with spectacular grounds at your disposal. The meals were amazing and the staff incredibly helpful. We had a small villa just a few steps from the castle with all of the amenities imaginable. Only regret is we should have stayed longer!!!!

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in a lot). It is incredibly beautiful, and the service is second to none. Quiet hotel, one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in, the food was delicious - I really can't fault it. Worth every penny. The whole island is owned by the hotel, they have wild otters and seals - the spa was beautiful too. Highly recommend, I will be staying here again

Wonderful Scottish manor

Hotel was like staying in a country manor. Service was wonderful and so was the food. Lots of fun activities, just wish it had not rained so we could have done more! We booked spa treatments instead which were very good. Definitely recommend.

A gorgeous property with beautiful grounds. Expensive and the bed was an old-fashioned uncomfortable spring mattress. Food was average and service for dinner was extremely slow. Walking the grounds was wonderful, and our breakfast haggis and sandwich for lunch were quite good.
