Hotel is quite old and very big. Was good for our group as we had a few of us. You can imagine when this would have been the centre of the city. The room was clean and quiet. Staff were excellent - very accommodating.

We were very impressed with our stay at the Brydone in Oamaru this past weekend, lovely friendly greeting at reception, ample parking available around the back of the building and room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Heater worked well so we came back to a lovely warm room. Only a short walk to the supermarket and food outlets plus all the Oamaru attractions, very good location. Highly recommend this hotel to others and we would not hesitate to stay here again in the future as very good value for money!

Perfectly ok room but in dire need of some refurb. Wallpaper peeling. Plug-in old heater. Gaps under door and window meant a draft. We only needed an overnight place to lay our head but if I was an international traveller and staying more than one night, I would not be happy. Staff lovely and friendly. Very clean.
