Vacations Close To Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge

had a great time and the Photo Booth was super fun!

Bar wasn't open yet but will be. Breakfast was ... adequate.

Cool old hotel but it is definitely showing its age. The furnishings are a bit worn and so need replacing, the plaster is coming off in some of the rooms, but the hotel does have decent size rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful, the Driftwood Room is a tiny little bar but a good place to get food and a cocktail. Be patient, the bartender is also the server. Parking is next door and will cost you about 40 bucks for two nights.

I have mixed feelings about leaving this review. On one hand they did provide a useable room. What I find annoying is all the pictures on their website show these really nice rooms in a nice building. However if you don't get a suite and want a regular room, they shuffle you across the street to a building that looks like a 1950s travel lodge. No amount of paint is going to make one of these rooms look modern.

Excellent central downtown location. Very clean, quiet and excellent media included.
