The hotel and room were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great, especially the yogurt and fruit options. It was just a 3 minute walk to 12st BART, which was so convenient for me because I like to take public transportation to Oakland. I will definitely stay again. I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Thanks for a pleasant visit!

The fact that there is so many homeless people walking around - i appreciate our security was taken into consideration. No one was able to enter the building without a key. The hotel is clean overall and quiet. Breakfast was prepared onntime each morning, with variety to choose from. I would stay here again

The facility was clean with friendly staff. Unable to check in early, so staff stored my luggage. Also provided us with a late breakfast past its service hours. Neighborhood not the best, some homeless around the area. Parking limited to valet only. I parked in a nearby garage for the day and then overnight valet.

Great hotel with hot breakfast. The hotel’s $50 overnight valet parking is a must if you want to ensure your car is safe. They don’t tell you that till you arrive. Be prepared to Uber to your sports event or concert.

The staff was super friendly and the room was clean. Bed was a little rough but not too bad. I didn’t like that there is no parking for the property though so you have to use their valet which is fifty dollars a night. Otherwise it was a good stay.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Hampton Inn Downtown Oakland. It is around the corner from Chinatown with plenty of places to get food. It is also near public transportation. Convenient location.

Loved the proximity to the BART, free breakfast and recent renovations. But, we stayed over a weekend and there was a nightclub there both nights. The eateries we saw were closed for the weekend but a quick look at the map looked like there may have been places nearby. We ended up going into the City or Berkeley to eat since we were there for Cal's Homecoming weekend. The body wash and conditioner were empty in our shower but other than that, the room was clean and modern.
