Blommenhof is ideal in all aspects - we have used it both as one-night roadside motel when traveling and as holiday retreat too. The staff is wonderful. The rooms are very well furnished and super comfortable, especially the larger rooms in the annex. The spa is quite nice; could get very crowded on busy days but in calmer times it is pure joy. The breakfast and restaurant may not always deserve so much appraisal, but everything functions perfectly, the food is superb, there are some interesting touches and the staff is very professional.

Not so good hotel

The surroundings of the hotel were truly lovely, and it was great to walk in the nearby forest with the dogs – the location was definitely the highlight of our stay. However, the hotel itself felt quite worn, and the room was dated. The bed was uncomfortable and sagged in the middle, which made it difficult to sleep well. The air in the room was stuffy and damp, which affected the overall comfort. Breakfast was average – not particularly good, but sufficient.

Nice hotel with a lovely atmosphere

The overall experience was very good and the hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. We really liked the atmosphere. The only minus was that it was a bit warm in the room during the night. There was two table fans but it didn't help.

Basics are covered but thats all.

The personal was nice, the room was clean, the breakfast was OK but not impressive. There was a lack of basic things you expect in a hotel. There was only 1 microwave in the reception which was in another building, so you can imagine if you need to heat your child bottle in winter having to cross 2 buildings with 3 stairs between and going outside is not ideal. About the relaxing area, I can imagine people feel convenient to be able to have a beer there but then they left the empty glasses everywhere and there was no one collecting them, that lead to a changing room that was smelling to beer, what I personally find disgusting. On the swimming pool there was no control at all and I know its a child friendly hotel but the kids of other guess were jumping and falling on top of me what I consider too much for a supposed relaxing place. Overall my impression is a place with potential but there is a lack of investment in general.
