I had a check-in time that was outside the usual hours. I was greeted warmly, assisted with my bags and shown to my room. Special dietary requirements were personally catered for too. All staff are engaged and properly informed and looking for ways to help. The setting is useful in relation to the motorway, while still being quiet. Beautiful setting. I look forward to returning.

My reception at check-in was great. A pleasant woman upgraded my room to a water view when she learned that it was my first stay at the hotel. My room was clean and spacious. The public spaces are comfortable and well laid out. I enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee in the library that was excellent. The restaurant appears to be top-notch but the price for dinner was not appropriate for my business trip. My breakfast was outstanding in terms of food quality, variety, service, and atmosphere. I will return to this hotel the next time I am on Funen.

I had a great stay. Really nice rooms and very comfortable beds. I had a problem with a squeeky noice in the room, probably from the aircon. As a result I was upgraded to a big Suite (room 402), with a big rooftop terrace with beautiful views of Storebælt. The hotel is classic in design, but really well kept. And the restaurant serves excellent food.

Virkelig dejligt hotel med skønne rummelige værelser og den smukkeste udsigt til Storebæltsbroen og den smukke have. Morgenmaden var super dejlig. Alt er hjemmelavet. Eneste ting vi ikke nød, var at der er ufattelig lydt på værelset. Vi kunne nemt følge med i nabo værelsets debatter. Egentlig ikke så rart når hotellet ellers står for ro, hygge og nærvær.

Er zijn van die plekken die je niet overdonderen met uiterlijk vertoon, maar die je stilletjes voor zich winnen. Waar een goede nachtrust begint met een uitstekend bed en eindigt op een terras waar de dag zich langzaam ontvouwt. Al vroeg, nog voor de wereld goed en wel ontwaakt was, bood het zwembad en de sauna een moment van rust. Daarna volgde een verfrissende douche en een ontbijt dat getuigde van aandacht: rijk gevuld met verse, lokale ingrediënten en gerechten die de streek eer aandoen. Ook het diner verdiende alle lof. De keuken liet zien dat kwaliteit schuilt in vakmanschap en zorg, en daarvoor mag de kok met recht een compliment ontvangen. Maar minstens zo bepalend was de bediening. De obers combineerden gastvrijheid met kennis van zaken en voegden precies dat beetje extra toe waardoor een uitstekende ervaring uitgroeide tot een memorabele. Ik vertrok niet alleen uitgerust, maar ook opgeladen. De batterij was weer volledig gevuld voor mijn zakelijke reis door Denemarken – en dat is misschien wel de grootste verdienste van een verblijf als dit.

Hotel Hesselet er særligt sted med unik beliggenhed lige til Storebælt. Således dejlige omgivelser ved både strand og skov. Det er et hotel med en helt speciel charme og man træder ind i lidt af en tidslomme, så stedet har også patina fra det levede liv gennem årene. Dette er specielt og en unik karakter ved dette sted, og håbet er, at dette særpræg også får lov at leve videre fremover, da det gør stedet specielt og unikt. Personalet er meget hjælpsomme og opmærksomme og gør opholdet bemærkelsesværdigt rart.
