“I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

“Friendly staff, clean rooms, pool with good upkeep and generally tidy grounds. Can't really complain about anything major. Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic. “Owner of this hotel Sebastian and his wife goes far and beyond our expectation. We’re friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was awesome every day and air conditioning was superb… beach is 1 min walk and location has a lot of good restaurant. We highly recommend this place for couple and families. We had room for 4 and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Sebastian organized for us transport from airport when we arrived . He also organized tour which was reasonably priced and time wise very well...
