Lovely period property in a lovely area, a short walk to numerous restaurants bars and the Motorpoint arena. Breakfast was great, all well worth the money and would Stop again if in Nottingham

Staff at check in were helpful and we got early check in but we were woken up twice by a cleaner trying to get into our room in the morning. Thankfully we had locked the door but we were woken up abruptly by the door lock beeping and the door being banged and shoved open on two separate occasions.

Stayed in a superior suite. The building is looking tired and in need of a refresh. The bathroom flooring was coming up, carpets torn. The breakfast was unimpressive but the service was good. The sound from outside made for an awful nights sleep.

Off the beaten path but convenient to castle, pubs and restaurants. Get code from front desk for significant savings on nearby parking. Note: although parking is “nearby”, one-way roads don’t make it an easy drive. Not bad. Just not as easy as it may look on a map. Also, get card from front desk for significant savings at Pitcher and Piano restaurant a few minutes walk. Great restaurant.

Stayed here a few times now and it's always been great. Smart, clean hotel with an historic but modern feel. Great staff. Being city centre has no carpark, but a NCP multi storey is literally only a 5 min walk around the corner at lace market Bang on the city centre so everything at your fingertips

The hotel is an old building with lots of steps. Not ideal for anyone with a mobility issue. Stayed here on a scorching hot day and luckily got a room with aircon which worked well (if a tad noisy). The room had some notable issues (fridge didn’t work, mirror in the bathroom was cracked, water damage to the area around the sink). Also worth noting is a lack of sockets by the bed. Staff were delightful

Very convenient but the hotel is very tired and needs some TLC. There is blown plaster everywhere from damp, old air on unit spitting out dust, holes in the floorboards in the bathroom covered by lino. Just generally past its best. Location is great if you’re looking to stay in the centre but it’s ok at best. Particularly for the price. Staff were pleasant enough though and it’s attached to a pub which is a bonus.
