The property is breathtaking and very serene. There are so many great options in Nosara, however Esh is the perfect home base. Away from the beach hussle, but still very accessible. The complimentary yoga in the morning is a perfect to start the day. The restaurant is delicious and caters to all. The rooms are gorgeous and the beds are so so comfortable. Esh is a very special place, I highly recommend it.

A must stay in Costa Rica! One of the most tranquil, romantic, and beautiful places we’ve ever stayed! The personal and small touches made all the difference! This is a boutique hotel where the staff all truly care for guests and one another. Valery, Fiorella, Issabella, and all the ESH staff were so lovely and welcoming. Danny, Francisco, Froylan, and all the staff at Almar were amazing, and the food and cocktails were terrific! The rooms are all private and have amazing amenities. It is close to Guiones and they offer shuttle service to all the local locations. Further, they provided many food and activity recommendations off site. Overall, it was the highlight of our trip, and will be recommending ESH to anyone who plans to travel to Costa Rica! Pure Vida!

For the money, ESH is a great deal. Very upscale, quiet, and the entire staff will accommodate every need or request at all times. It’s not on the coast, but rather up the hill about 5 minutes from town and the beach. Town is a happening place whereas ESH is simply peaceful. Best of both worlds.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms and property are absolutely beautiful. The amenities are top notch and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good highly suggest the typical Costa Rican breakfast. My only note would be that I wouldn’t eat dinner there. It was overpriced for what you got. The tuna was poorly cooked and the octopus was chewy. I really enjoyed the burger, poke bowl, and mocktails they had. Overall it has a Michelin key for a reason and you will reach a level of relaxation you only hope to achieve at other hotels.

We had an incredible 8-night stay here for our honeymoon, and it exceeded every expectation. My wife is pregnant, so we were looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway, and this was the perfect place to unwind. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. We were welcomed with a handwritten note signed by members of the staff and a complimentary bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon. Halfway through our stay, they surprised us with a thoughtful baby gift, which was such a kind and meaningful touch that made us feel truly cared for. The atmosphere throughout the property was calm and relaxing, and the location was ideal with the beach just a short distance away. The beach shuttle was convenient and made getting back and forth effortless. Our room was exactly as pictured—beautiful, cozy, spotless, and very comfortable. Everything was well maintained, and we always looked forward to coming back after a day out. We also loved dining at Almar. Every meal was delicious, and the cocktails and mocktails were fantastic. Most of all, the staff made this stay unforgettable. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind, welcoming, and eager to make our experience special. We honestly have no complaints. This was the perfect honeymoon, and we would absolutely love to return in the future. Highly recommend!

This hotel was wonderful. Nestled in the jungle, the minimalist architecture and stylings encouraged contemplation. The services were top notch, the support outstanding, the beds comfortable and the facilities high quality. The breakfast was delicious, fresh and filling - it was included but was easily worth $25 per person minimum. The yoga classes were very good, the sauna and cold plunge available all day, and the staff super friendly. Thanks for an amazing stay, we hope to be back!

Came here as part of a family trip and honestly wasn't sure what to expect from a boutique hotel tucked into the jungle. Left completely blown away. The staff is what sets this place apart, from the front desk to the restaurant team — is genuinely warm. Not "hotel-trained warm," but actually present and attentive. They remember your name, they check in on you, and they do it without being intrusive, they go above and beyond on multiple occasions. You feel like a guest in someone's home, not a room number. The food at Almar is seriously no joke. I've eaten at some great spots and this restaurant punched above its weight in a big way. Chef Hugo puts real thought and care into every plate — local ingredients, clean flavors, beautiful presentation. And breakfast every morning was something I actually looked forward to. We ate there every single morning and never got tired of it. The daily yoga class was a nice surprise too. I don't have a regular practice at home but I showed up most mornings and it genuinely added something to the trip. The instructors know what they are doing and makes it accessible no matter your level. Hard to beat starting your day with that, surrounded by jungle. The vibe here is intentional — slow, calm, adults only. If you're looking for a party hotel, this isn't it. But if you want to actually decompress, eat really well, and be taken care of by people who actually seem to enjoy what they do — ESH is the one.

We stayed here for one night in Nosara and I wish it would have been more ! The hotel is newly open and simply beautiful. The atmosphere and vibe created by the beautiful decoration, great music, the nature around it, and the very kind and helpful staff and owners is magical. Oh and the food - so good! The yoga teacher Dominique is excellent as well. I loved our stay.

My stay here was beyond perfect. The team was super friendly and attended all my needs. It is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at. The mexican food was incredible especially the barbacoa tacos. The design in the rooms was very aligned with the concept and they gave me a very personalized experience calling me by my first name during my stay. I couln't recommend this place enough and I will be back soon!

What a beautiful and relaxing space. The owners Jaime and Miri were wonderful, so sweet and friendly. Design is impeccable. Rooms thoughtfully laid out and stunning. The bed was so comfy. Had the best massage at the spa. Also loved the restaurant/bar near the pool. Great food and drinks. I ate every taco they have and they were all genuinely delicious. Can't say enough good things. Really enjoyed my stay, just an excellent place to rest and enjoy.

I stayed here for one night and it was amazing. I wanted a place to get away and relax and I can’t think of a better place to do it. The whole place is beautiful and even though it’s easy to get to the beach I loved just being by the pool and being in the jungle. The staff was great, so friendly and helpful, the food amazing and great cocktails, just a perfect vibe. I would definitely go back hopefully for a longer trip!
