We walked into Brighton for a festival and whilst not hugely far (about 12k to Preston), there was a beast of a hill on the route - fun in itself but it was very hot! “Th Leicester Inn is a very old listed property and as such has some wonderful aspects giving it great character. Being old and listed also means that modern features like double glazing and air conditioning are not present and we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year. Our room was very hot but a fan was provided and we were able to have an open window. There is a good size car park at the rear of the Inn. Food and service were superb.”

“This is a lovely unique property being a very old pub. Our room was small but adequate with a large bathroom and, thankfully, air conditioning for the very hot weather. The dining room is lovely and the food was excellent. Breakfast in particular was great, with a great choice on the menu, cooked to order and piping hot. There is also a lovely outdoor beer garden. The staff were all helpful and friendly and I would not hesitate to stay here again.”
