Very recommended

Schere is a very old brand, good quality adequate BFand good cooking in the restaurant. We had a room with balkony overlooking red roof tops, we were smack in the middle of the city in the pedestrian precinct. To be recommended.

Charming Hotel/Restaurant in a lovely town

The stay in the hotel/Restaurant Schere was amazing. Lovely people, charming flair, great food and a beautiful old town with "Fachwerk" Houses a marketplace and an all around nice atmosphere. Great for couples with or without dogs who love to take an evening walk through an old town.

Best stay in town

Hotel Schere is the best place to stay in Northeim. Unless you are willing to travel to Gottingen, this is the best option. Rooms are generally comfy and for European standards larger. Showers can be a bit tight but htats to be expected.

Schickes Hotel mitten in der Innenstadt und noch einigermaßen fußläufig vom Bahnhof entfernt (ein nicht zu unterschätzender Vorteil, wenn man nach 18h30 mit dem Zug ankommt). Sehr nettes Personal, vor allem im hoteleigenen Restaurant. Komfortables und sauberes Zimmer mit Blick über die Dächer auf den Kirchturm, der allerdings ab 6 Uhr alle Viertelstunde die Zeit ansagt (man kann das eher Klingeln als lautes Glockengeläut nennen). Mein Dachzimmer kühlte nachts relativ schnell aus, wogegen die dünne Steppdecke auch keine grosse Hilfe darstellte.
