“What a great cottage couldn't have been in a better location, three nice sized bed rooms the kitchen had everything we needed and a lovely living room with a log burner in it.the accommodation was modern well presented and clean to a good standard. When we arrived there was tea coffee milk biscuits and a bottle of wine all in all we had an excellent stay and would recommend it to anyone. Hopefully we will be returning”

“Lovely little property close to the town and opposite the water. Steep steps lead up to the entrance but once inside the property has everything you need. Large sofa, small table for 4 and kitchen with facilities. Would consider staying again in the future ”

“Great stay. Just be careful with the steep drive which was communicated by the hosts.”

“Lovely place, accommodation is really high quality with lots of nice little touches. Location is excellent to get to York. Private and secure garden, the dog was able to go out not on lead. Would highly recommend.”

“Compact , well equipped property in the centre of the village and ideal for walking or car trips.”

“Cottage was ok but after booking through hotels.com I was contacted by Host & Stay and advised I had to pay an additional fee for a damage waiver. Alternatively I could pay a deposit but they take an admin fee so you don’t get the full amount back plus they state they may take 14 days to refund.”

“Honestly the worst property we had ever stayed in. When we arrived the property was dirty, in hoovered, dirty sides and used towels in the bathroom. There was still toothpaste in the sink from the previous occupants. Lots of things in the house were broken and then left ie mirrors seats etc. there was one glass between four of us. Really awful. ”

“Loved the fire and amenities. French press meant we could bring our coffee. Beautiful comfy rooms Thanks”

“The house was lovely. Didn’t have a top sheet, no wash clothes. Plates were in the dining room. No place to put groceries. ”

“The location of the cottage is excellent, right next to the river Esk and on a very quiet holiday park (in April anyway). There is an amazing viaduct over the river where there is bungy jumping every couple of weeks during the summer and you can walk over it into Whitby which is only 30 mins away on foot. The pool is NOT 24 hrs as advertised and you have to pay. The property can be a bit difficult to find because the name plaque of the plot is covered by an overgrown hydrangea. If you use what 3...

“Excellent place to stay in Whitby, very close to everything. 2 great sized bedrooms and even a single bed on the top floor. Great kitchen facilities and small back yard to let the dog out on a morning. Finding the property is a little confusing as it is on a tight small back road, can find parking easily enough at the top of the road. Would definitely stay again!”
