Good location, poor accommodation

The unit is in a new block but feels dated. There clearly has been no effort made to make it homely e.g. zero decorative touches on the walls. It's a couple of rooms with furniture in them. The kitchen and bathroom both look and feel worn out, the kitchen especially needs a good scrub. The cutlery drawer was sticking inside! The living room had to be aired for at least a day to get rid of the musky smell on arrival. There was no toilet roll on arrival. The dryer didn't work until I unplugged it and left it for 30 minutes or so. Annoyingly, there is a security deposit taken prior to arrival, which in itself is fine, but there is a 3.3% credit card fee applied to the transaction, and this is not returned, so the rental cost an extra $28+, which is not clearly mentioned in the original booking. For the money I paid, it was a hugely disappointing stay in this apartment.

There is also an option of a bank transfer on the invoice, to avoid the hefty credit card fees.
